My PCOS sister get pregnant

In the previous posts about PCOS, i wrote about my syster(cousin) who has diagnosed by her doctor that she get PCOS ( polycystic ovarian syndrome). This PCOS has made her unable to conceive for years. Every methods have been tried to get conceived, but failed. The only solution left is tube baby procedure, however this method seem quite expensive for my sister.

Then, i heard that one of the main cause of PCOS is prolong and untreated inflammation. Therefore i offered my sister treatment with Reiki, cryptomonadales and transfer factor. Shockingly, her problem is not the only cause which causing her not be able to conceive, her husband got fertility problems too.

Finally, after 2 years, full with expectation and the misery of such expectation, God seems smile at my sister and her husband. She got conceived 3 months ago. However, she is now 37 years old, her womb still got problems, she got bleeding every 2 weeks, we are quite worry about this. But, it is not in our hand anymore, what we can do is send Reiki energy and prayer in our heart for her and her baby safety.

For those who got PCOS and try to conceive, i share what my sister and her husband treatment this past two year.

- April 2010, i offered my sister (cousin) to use cryptomonadales as supplement and distant reiki treatment.

- June 2010, my sister's husband diagnosed for having a little number of healthy sperm ( infertile), therefore he took cryptomonadales too.

- September 2010, her husband drink fertility supplement a week before his sperm tested, and his sperm dramatically rise, 90% up. Unluckily, they didn't test before eat the fertility supplement, therefore we can not judge clearly, which one is having more influence in rising the sperm count and quality. However, since the fertility supplement usually take effect after 3 months, we believe that 80% it is because of cryptomonadales. I didn't treat her husband with reiki.

- October 2010, she get progesterone therapy from her doctor, then the number of matured eggs suddenly jump to eight, so the pregnancy program need to be aborted, because of the probability of all matured eggs get fertilized.

- Februari 2011, i introduced transfer factor belle vie, to her.

- March- April 2011, her period is in regular term, it means, she get period in 30 days regularly, previously she may get period in 45 days or more.

- July, she got another progesterone shot for tube baby preparation, but get conceived naturally in a week.Now, her pregnancy is 3 months old, and have bleeding constantly for every 2 weeks. I hope she and her baby healthy.

Our other bodies

To think about our other bodies, will take us to the root of any religions. A believe that after death, our soul (our eternal body) will go to heaven or hell depending on our deeds while still alive. But, this time we are not discussing about it, we will discussing more practical approach in understanding our other bodies.

Let's think a little bit about cells within a body. In a cell, there is already a complete process of metabolism, which is taking in necessary substances and taking out unnecessary one. They live side by side with other cells and creating tissues then organ and finally our human body.

How, they organize themselves? Its still a major question within biologist. However, from a reiki practitioners perspective, which able to perform reiji-ho, there is a form of energy which hold every cells together.

This field have strong influence toward cells energy pattern, and may force the cells to emit a certain pattern. And in turn creating new cells based on such guidance.

This phenomenon, lead us to think that
Eventhough cells are independent, they are also following an influence from a subtle energy field.

And what is this energy, it is no other than our own consciousness which in essence is the glue that hold everything together.

When we directed our attention to give reiki to a specific body part, our consciousness give permission to cells attune to reiki vibration, and change how cells vibrate.

It makes us to think that maybe, mutation based on nuclear radiation is a natural thing within living things. So we need pay attention toward any electromagnetic radiation.

For me,this is the process of how reiki can heal as I understanding it.

Austerity and freedom

For spiritual awakening purposes, many had gone to mountains, forests or monasteries to look inward in meditation. Therefore it raise a question for modern spiritual seekers, should they abandon worldly attachments or not to fulfill their aspiration?

Are you one of those ?

Within ourselves lies questions about our existence, purpose, and the existence of God. These questions alone has set many individuals to religions, gurus and temples.

There are answers, but now it seems every answers seem right, every religions has its own stand point, any gurus believe their path is the right one or the fastest one.

Some say abandoning our world desires completely is the key to spiritual awakening, is this true?

Well, though many masters are findings their spiritual awakening through austerity for a lifetime. It is just because they have to find it by themselves, more like creating a car from the wheel.

No one can taught them or guide them in a path, because there is none. They need to find the right path.

When someone able to formulate their findings, he attracted those who had similar interest to learn from them, thus a school of thought had begun.

However, distance was the enemy of the past civilization, to see a guru, someone need to walk months, then to practice what they have to learn, they may spend several years. In that circumstances, can you expect someone can take care their family well being?

That's why those spiritual seeker of the past had no family or abandoning one.

As time goes by, distance is no longer a problem again in modern age, therefore we do not need to leave family to fulfill our aspiration.

What we have to do is finding what method is suited best our situation. As no method is the perfect method for all, don't worry about having told that our path is the lesser path.

Remember, any path lead to one.

Health is a good orchestra

Reiki healing is like about conducting a good musical orchestra, where many different musical instruments play together harmoniously.

Think our mind as the conductor, the heart as the bass, limfatic system as violins, and the other instruments as other body's organs. If the conductor has drunk all night long, and has to perform in the following day, what kind of music can be produced?

Imagine the conductor does not understand enough about a good music all about or those who play the instruments are in bad mood,the orchestra will produce a bad sound.
If that orchestra is our organ then the bad sound is our auric field pattern when we get sickness.

To overcome this messy sound, we need someone or something to teach the orchestra about how to produce good and harmonious music. The fastest thing to teach is giving a direct example to follow. Then, we got Reiki, a harmonious vibration in the universe as pattern for our conscious, subconscious and unconscious mind to follow its vibration, and teach other organ to follow too.

What happened when all of our organs follow Reiki vibration lead, voila..... Miracle of healing

Reiki and pranic healing combination

Recently, I read pranic healing book written by master Choa kok sui. Though it is quite different than reiki in its approach toward illnesses. It proves effective to heal, and a lot of testimonies were written to support how good this pranic healing techniques as energy therapy.

As reiki practitioners, I was taught to become the clear channel for reiki flows. However, just become the channel of reiki isn't enough to heal. One of elemental things forgotten in reiki teaching is the discharge of negative energy or known as hibiki.

What we have in reiki teachings, are the way to increase the flow of energy, but not how to utilize it efficiently. We were taught that reiki is automatically convert hibiki.

Master Choa, wrote in his book, that energy negative need to be discharge outside patient's body otherwise it needs a longer time to heal. This is also proved to eliminate healing crisis. Which almost occur during reiki healing.

Using this view, I tried to heal several illnesses from sore throat, ulcer, migraine, etc. It proves effective. The healing session rarely more than 20 minutes, because the recipients feel better in minutes after I started.

So, I believe reiki teachings are focused on energy power and flows. Pranic healing focus on healing techniques. Both can be combine to create a stronger healing system.

We can learn from master Choa insights and incorporate it into our reiki healing system, as our concern is our patients wellbeing not our pride.

Heal almost instantly

Most reiki practitioners experience situations where their treatments can not have direct result or might re-occur over time. But legends say that Usui sensei heal kobe's earthquake victims almost instantly.

Beside, Hayashi sensei, taught reiki to navy officers to be used as alternative treatment on the ship when lacking medicine. So, reiki treatment should be have direct result and almost instant, otherwise, it can not be used.

Then, how come we don't perform like them?

When I confronted with this question, I can only think that may be we lacked exercise or spiritual training until I learned that reiki practical healing techniques are still in oral tradition back in japan.

There is two things that need to develop in reiki. First, the amount of energy, this can be done through meditation and breathing exercise using reiki. Second, a practitioner need to develop reiji, an energy sensitive hand and intuition.

To me, reiji is very important for practical uses. It helps us to detect the source of illnesses through hibiki-energy negative- emitted by the illnesses sources.

This hibiki, need to be discharged, to be taken out of the body and purified. With ability to detect and purying hibiki, you may experience an almost instant healing with reiki.

What is Lupus ?

Good day,

As there are a lot of questions about Lupus and how we can treat lupus patient with Reiki, i decided to have some pages in this blog to discuss about lupus and my self research to help lupus patient. Therefore, if you have found someone with lupus please inform me, i will personally treat lupus patient through distant healing.

Now, what is lupus?

In medical journals, lupus is known as an immune system disorder which our immune system attack our own healthy cells instead attack virus or bacteria. It obviously blind, and can not differentiate between ally and enemy.

Its symptoms could be joint pain, arthritis, rashes on face, etc.

Other common symptoms include:

1. Chest pain when taking a deep breath
2. Fatigue
3. Fever with no other cause
4. General discomfort, uneasiness, or ill feeling (malaise)
5. Hair loss >
6. Mouth sores
7. Sensitivity to sunlight
8. Skin rash -- a "butterfly" rash over the cheeks and bridge of the nose affects about half of
people with SLE. The rash gets worse in sunlight. The rash may also be widespread.

And sometimes because lupus attack organs, its symptoms may reflect it such as:

Brain and nervous system: headaches, numbness, tingling, seizures, vision problems, personality changes

Lung: coughing up blood and difficulty breathing
Skin: patchy skin color, fingers that change color when cold (Raynaud's phenomenon)
Lupus in general, have 4 category which are: systemic lupus erythematosus, discoid lupus erythematosus, drug induced lupus erythematosus, and neonatal lupus erythematosus.

While SLE ( systemic lupus erythematosus) give various symptoms, the discoid lupus's symptoms only appear on skin. Drug induce lupus gives symptoms as SLE but ceases after drug use over. Neonatal lupus, is happening on baby born with lupus's mother.

Normal medication for lupus which available are:
1. Non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs
2. Corticosteroid
3. Anti malaria drug
4. Cytotoxic medication for severe cases
5. Well, those normal medications are use to decrease lupus patients immune system preventing it
to attack healthy cells and tissues.

Why our immune system can attack our own healthy cells and tissues, no one is certain, some say it is genetic, some says it is caused by hormonal imbalance. There is no certain answer to that question.

What make me interested in lupus was because one of my patient has lupus, and then i began to research about what is lupus from medical perspective, then i try to combine with my understanding from byosen.

I do feel that lupus patient energy pattern is like have no pattern at all, so i guess it is just like a child is being stress out of school lessons. So, i was treating my patients with the intention to release the stress from the energy body, balancing it and give a lot of good thought, and the result is quite amazing. There is improvement in my patient well being.

London Riot 2011

England is a country which make an Indonesian like me to think about a mature society where people respect each other and always in order. I was believing that this kind of riot which was done mostly by young people will never be happening in London, England's capital city.

I am deeply concern about the number of young people who become part of the riot. Do we as older ones gave bad example to them?

In one of article that i read about the riot, discuss about the probability of GTA (Grand theft auto) game has something to do with the riot. Curious with the article i bought a GTA game, i was so shocked that the game is about being a theft, looter, and killer.

Well, a game is not just a game anymore nowadays, with fantastic graphic sound a computer can give, it is become a simulation. Just like a pilot doing simulation training, our young people who play the game, is being trained to be theft, looter and killer subconsciously.

As Reiki practitioner i realized, that our own asset is our mind, it can be trained to be anything. Maybe those young people upset with the economic condition but to think about a hundred years ago, the depression is the same,but the determination and courage of such generation bring England as now it is.

With young generation's mind filled with riot, looting and robbing, how can you expect a brighter future?

It is important to filled our younger one with creativity, courage, determination and most importantly a reason to live. Inspire our young people with how the future will be, and we may have a lucky day to see it come true.

I wish there is no more riot like that in the future.So sad to think about it.

Law of attraction in Buddhism

If you ever wonder, how can Law of attraction works? or what is the logic or principle in Law of attraction ?

Believe it or not, i have found it inside the teaching of the great teacher who live approximately 2500 years ago. Buddha Gautama.

In his days, Buddha Gautama taught about how we can end our suffering. His precepts are numerous and depend on the audience. However, one of his teaching taught about the process of creation.

It is different than any religions teachings today which taught that the process of creation are mystery of the creator. Buddha clearly disclose the process of creation and manifestation in his Pratitya samutpada ( dependent origination).

In this teaching, the first thing need to appear for any manifestation or phenomena is ignorance,

Ignorance means accepting something as real or something is not real. ( idealization and visualization process)

As we think about something is real or not real, our images are memorized as the basic of any experience further, this memories are called sanskara (memori)

From the memories, our consciousness arisen, make us realize the presence what we imagine inside our mind, this state called vijnana (consciousnes)

When we realize something, at the same time we began to differentiate things, able to discern one thing to another. Nama-rupa (name and form)

After we differentiate one thing from another, then we realize the concept of I, our ego arisen.
Ayatana (abodes)

Now as we have ego, we can contact, it means we can have relationship with something that we imagine as real, in other words we begin to see what we imagine as reality. Sparsha (contact).

Then, we have sensation, as feeling good, bad, or neutral about things that we imagine. Vedana ( sensation)

Such sensation, bring feeling of longing, we feel something we imagine is real and want to be in relation or contact, we are thirsty of what we imagine. Thrishna ( thirst)

As we unite with what we imagine, we do not want to separate with it. Upadana( attachment)

Then an entity exist, a combination of us and our imagination. Bhava (existence)

This combination bring manifestation (birth). In which by its own progress, will gather its necessary elements to make whatever the imagination come to life.

So, everything that Law of attraction taught us, basically is our own mental process. Even without our control it is doing the same thing.

But with this teaching we can control our own fate. Direct our mental forces toward things that we choose to manifest.

When mastered this, we will realize, that the universe is made with the same progress. As above so below, as within so without.

Suffering

In the second symbol, sei he ki, sensei Usui tell us about the origin of suffering and how to get out from suffering. I think this symbol represent his Buddhist ideas.

To many, it is just a symbol to draw an energy that soothe emotional disorder, to other Reiki practitioners it is a symbol to connect with subconsciousness. To me, it is represent a teaching about balance, harmony and joy.

So, if this symbol originally is the teaching of suffering and how to get out from suffering just like sensei Buddhist's ideas, how we can understand it?

let's discuss it.

First of all, to borrow Buddhist philosophy, the origin of suffering is desire. If we happen to desire anything, there will be a subject which is "I" and the object "thing". This make an unbalanced condition within our consciousness, creating longing feeling within us, which can only be satisfied when the "I" meld down with the object of desire.

Now, if we can satisfy our desire by obtaining the object of our desire, then our suffering end.

However, the world always change. Our desire may not always find its object. So, our suffering continue and creating anger, frustration and depression.

From this point of view, it is logical that to end suffering either we can be one with the object or become desire-less.

The question is, can we after meld down with our object of desire become free from suffering forever?

or

Can we become perfectly desire-less?

The fact is, when we become one with our object of desire, our mind get used to with the object and desire more. So the cycle begin, desire, meld down, bored, desire.... This what the Budha called as samsara ( the never ending cycle)

However, we can not be perfectly desire-less, as we want to be desire-less, we are already in the state of desire.

Don't be confuse about this, this is really how our mind works. The essence of this teaching which depicted by sensei Usui in Sei He Ki is ending suffering by become one with the essence of life itself.

In essence the only one who desire is something " " that give life to us, the life itself. When it moves we moves, when it stay we stay. That what called balance and harmony.

In conclusion, Sei He Ki tell us about how to be one with life itself, realizing the truth that everything change. Only become one with everything we will find harmony within and compassion will spring from heart automatically.

The secret behind Reiki symbols

What is Reiki symbols? Do they have power on itself? or they just mere tools to help us understand something that do have the real power?

Now, i want to discuss about the secret behind Reiki symbols, especially the three first symbols of Reiki, Cho ku Rei, Sei He Ki and HZSN.

Eleven years ago, when i learning and practice Reiki for the first time, i am a little skeptic about learning Reiki symbols. I am afraid that it is just some kind of black magic teaching, and i do not want to learn something that can harm others with psychic powers, i believe its consequences are beyond my strength to bear. However, as i search about Reiki on the web and learning the history how Reiki is being discover, i am getting understood what is the meaning of those symbols.

The first important of Sensei Usui's discovery is the existence of Reiki, the ocean of energy within and without us, around us and within us. Then any knowledge about self and the universe was probably become known to him naturally. So, when he want to share his knowledge to his students, he understood that his knowledge may not be able to understand completely.

Inspired by the wheel of chakra within our energy system, he developed the symbol cho ku rei, to represent how energies are coiling while remain focus in manifesting the material world. Hence, he taught his students, that the principle of manifestation in material world is begin with thought from above and end up with manifestation downward which is symbolized by a coiling symbol.

It is not, that the symbol has its power, but the symbol represent our understanding about the nature of manifestation. When we get attunement about the symbol, realized or not, the knowledge about cho ku rei is also being transferred. I believe, this efficient knowledge transfer already present from antiquity, even Jesus was using this in baptism procedure. This phenomena, i believe will be become the hot topics in future.

As, the ocean of energy has ripples, our world which is only a part of its material manifestation do have up and down moments, nothing stay the same forever. Then, the harmony symbol tell us that anything goes up shall goes down and vice versa, everything change and evolve for the better. Sei He Ki symbol contain this teaching and taught us how to relax and attune to changes. Any misery and distress that we experience are the results of changes, only our acceptance about changes are the only remedy.

Do our discomfort and displeasure because of external conditions, so we can blame anyone and anything for our miseries?

The third symbol of Reiki, taught us that the happiness and misery do not caused by external caused but it is by our own conception of what happiness is. As we attach our happiness to a certain condition then our happiness is a subject to change, therefore we experience ups and down in life. In this symbol, sensei Usui taught us about how to end our misery from its root, which is from deep inside our own psyche. Here, the symbol also symbolizes the unconscious mind within us, who can only respond to any thought that we gave them.

Using, the third symbol, some says can heal beyond time and space, yes indeed. As the symbol also represent the root consciousness within us which connected directly with the universal mind, when we intent our mind to give healing to people distant to us, our intentions are creating a bridge to toward them, and a channel open for Reiki transfer.

When we heal backward in time, it means, we heal what it effects of that events in present day time.

When we heal forward in time, it meas, we heal what is happening in present day time, so the bad effect would not come or in reduce weight in future.

In conclusion, Sensei Usui's teaching is deeper than just a healing therapy, he want us to know and realize the inner music of life, which become the driven motive within the universe to move and to evolve. The eternal dance of life is meant to be enjoyed.

Polycystic ovarian syndrome, an immune issue part 2

Though any treatment methods on polycystic ovarian syndrome are debatable as no one has the best answer, scientists do have some clues about how it is developed and how to treat it. In my first post about PCOS, i discuss about the probability of inflammation that helps triggering the development of insulin resistance and i also try a treatment methods combining immune therapy and Reiki treatment.

After two months, my sister who developed PCOS, giving a slight of progress. She had no problems to have a regular periods compare with before the treatments begun. As the first signs of someone getting a PCOS is having period problems either absent period for some times or light bleeding that occur almost everyday, then this is an important sign that a good progress occuring.

Now, the main question remain is, can she still to be able to conceive naturally? that's a hard question for me to answer. Because, even though her menstruation is already normal, but i still do not know whether or not she can ovulate.

However, one thing that i discover about the use of 4life transfer factor product is, it is giving me a knowledge about the use of hormonal therapies by medical professionals to help restoring the lack of estrogen in PCOS patients. So, 4life transfer factor (Belle Vie), mimicking the medical professionals by including phytoestrogen in its ingredient. I do hope that the normal estrogen level in my sister may help her balancing hormones within her and help her to ovulate.

The role of Reiki in this treatment, perhaps is balancing her emotional state which may also become one of the culprit which triggering hormones imbalances within her. I also sense with Byosen, that my sister ovary is getting better and healthy. Last week she said, that she is quite happy with the development, and expecting a naturally conceive this month. If its not happened, then she will try artificial insemination in the following months.

Looking at her so desperately want to conceive, i just realize how precious our life is. It seems that life is not something that we can control, sometimes what we can do is wait and rely on the universe judgment to give us what we want or not.

To learn meditation is just like learning a bike. Though you may fail several times, but when you discover how to do it correctly the rest is just easier. For beginners, the most difficult for them to learn is how to enter deep relaxation state. It is because our modern culture do not taught us about how to let everything run on its own course, we were taught to control everything and bring results.

In china, the famous Monkey King's legend, symbolizes how our mind is just like a monkey,always jumping from place to place. When set free and unchecked,The Monkey King creates problems on heaven and earth. Then, to stop the Monkey King from hurting others, The Kuan Yin Pu Za(Compassion Bodhisatva) put a ring on the Monkey King's head which can shrinking tightly when The Monkey King is getting naughty. Luckily, we do not need to put a ring on our head to control our mind. There are many techniques and tools that can help us to put our mind in control.

The Ancient introduce the use of incenses to stimulate calmness and serenity, chanting mantras to focus our mind, breathing techniques to calm our nerves, gazing on fire, the use of musical instruments and many others. Though each techniques are different in how it affecting our senses, but they have similar purpose, to bring our agitated mind to relax and calm meditation state.

The Tibetan people, introduce to modern culture the use of what we now called singing bowls, it is made from alloy of copper and tins, which symbolizes the teaching of "the void". The special about this metal bowl is when you hit it, its sound is like vibrating inside your mind and bring down your agitated mind in calming state almost immediately.

No matter how bad your mood before practice meditation, when you start to begin meditation, hit this singing bowls and feel how its vibration is like healing your every single tensions and bring back clarity and calmness that you need during your meditation session.

In China, the bowls also use as a marker, to mark the beginning and end of a chanting session. It is widely known in Asia for bringing the sacredness feeling in our meditation, and purified our mind. Some therapists even use bowls to induce stress reduction and promote healing through the bowls' vibration.

When practicing Reiki or do healing to others, it is better to have a calm and harmonious feeling and thoughts. One can meditate while practice self healing or healing others. However, some of us may not easily to meditate while doing something else. In this case, we need something that can sooth our feeling and mind, and nothing is better than music.

Music can penetrate our subconscious and bring harmony and calm almost immediately.

A Fading miracle.....

When Alexander Fleming in 1928 found Penicillin, the world cherish in joy as a miracle in medicine finally occur. Since then, modern human have an ultimate weapon against bacterial infections. However, non of them who live during the first era of antibiotics will think that the founding of modern antibiotics is just the beginning of a prolonged warfare against bacterial infections.

More studies indicate that the use of antibiotics in treating infections worldwide is getting resistance from bacterias. Many antibiotics that used to be effective to cure the infections are no longer have any impact. It is now depend on how fast the pharmacy to produce newly antibiotics to cope with the resistant.

Here are some recent facts about antibiotics:

Infections caused by resistant microorganisms often fail to respond to conventional treatment, resulting in prolonged illness and greater risk of death.
About 440 000 new cases of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) emerge annually, causing at least 150 000 deaths.
>Resistance to earlier generation antimalarial medicines such as chloroquine and sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine is widespread in most malaria-endemic countries.

It is a common practice that a hospital or a doctor prescribe antibiotics for just a common cold. The more widely they are used the more rapid resistance will develop. Bacterias are living organism, which will always try to live, therefore they will develop a way to protect their existence.

It is sadly isn't it that the place for taking care us when we get sick, is also one of the source of bacterial infections. About 40.000 person per year will die from hospital acquired infections.

This recent facts are the cause why our hospital and medicine cost get higher every year, and our economy may not be able to support our need for medical cost.

So, What we should do to protect our health and our future generations to come. I believe we should learn how to live naturally once again. Starting from our eating habits ( i suggest to read a book titled The Enzyme Factor by dr. Shinya).

Then learn Reiki well, its treatments, and its philosophy to bring miraculous spiritual healing as promised by Sensei Usui in his teachings. If we can cure ourselves naturally without use any antibiotics, then we can reserve the most advance antibiotics when we badly need it. And if this resistance trend can be slowdown, we can rest assure that our next generation still have an effective antibiotics to fight future disease.

Life or money ?

Last week, a friend of mine, which i haven't seen him for a year long come to visit, and we have a lot of conversation, even a serious debate about what is the most important thing in life. What to be prioritize first ? and why or why shouldn't we rely on anything in this world ?

In short, my friend position is, Money should come first, if there is no money or material things, no life can be preserved, and we shouldn't rely on God, karma or anything, as it useless to bring out our desire result come true.

As for me, off-course i rely on life force, i propose an idea, that life should be accepted as it is, and the will of life from the life force within us urge as to live and growing. It is up to the life force that our goal can be success or not.

I believe many of you may think the same as us, and also wonder about how we should be govern our life that lead us to happy and prosperous life.

My friend said " Material things or money can solve any problems in my life, without it, i can not grow richer"

I said " Life force is the most important thing, if it say we live then we live, die and we die, when life force within us still say to us to be alive, any problem which seems impossible to solve will solve by itself miraculously"

My friend said" Through our own effort, plan and hard work, we can achieve success, if there is something stand before us we should devise a plan to overcome it and beat it "

I said " Through understanding how life force govern our mind and body, then how it operates in nature, we can devise a plan to reach our goal safely and effortlessly, if there is a hurdle within our path, we can turn around it, so it won't be a hurdle anymore "

My friend said " God or life force never answer to my pray, do not provide me a direct answer to bring more money to me as i need the money"

I said " God or life force can be depend on, as it answer us in silent in time of need. When the answer manifest, people see it as a miracle happening, many people prove that money or anything that we need come as it is given from heaven"

My friend said " It is only my effort and intelligent that bring luck and fortune, without effort any good things can't come true"

I said " When you trust the life force, your inner heart will tell you what you should do to achieve your goal,if you need to learn a special skill, then follow it, learn the skill, maybe you feel you need to meet someone or read something, just do it, when the time is right, you will feel that what you seek is coming to you by it self."

My friend said " Trusting God or life force is useless, being good is useless, as many wicked and cruel people can be succeed without being good"

I said " Well, we live in world governed by a set of natural law, anyone obey such law shall get what they want, God or the life force doesn't care whether people are good or bad by human standard, any one obey, they bear result. Trusting God or life force means that we acknowledged its law and try to live by it. So, there is none should judge another, let the God or life force judge such people, if there is no use for life force to maintain such existence, then something will happened to change the situation"

For me, either point of views are valid, because it is depicted what reality is. I can understand my friend's view as i often think about it too. However, life force within us is so great, as i learn and practice Reiki, i feel it stronger everyday.

There is no limit of what we can think and do, the good or bad just a name for an action that bring result that we like or not. It is a matter of choice, about what we want to create in this world. If the life force within us agree, what we want to create will be manifested.

Since last year, i've been treating my cousin's Polycistic Ovarian Syndrome (pcos) with Reiki, really curious about how we can treat with Reiki. However, no amazaing result happen, i can feel hibiki coming from her uterus and ovarium, but just sending Reiki may not be enough to heal my cousin completely.

So i began to research what doctor said about PCOS, and finding some clues to treat my cousin. It is sad to admit that treating a person just with Reiki may not be sufficient enough to cure someone. Well, maybe any medical treatments have its on place as it perceive health from different perspectives.

Let's discuss what is PCOS and what i found from my internet research.

What is polycystic ovarian syndrome?
Polycistic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is categorized as endocrine disorders, which amazingly affected 5 - 10% of woman population. When a woman diagnose with PCOS she may experience a menstrual cycle disorder either irregular cycle or got no period (Amenorrhoea). Some woman also got acne problems and excess male hormone (Androgen).

The most unwelcome side effect of PCOs that my cousin had is infertility, she hasn't been able to get pregnant in almost ten years. That's why i am quite dedicated to do some research to help her.

What cause PCOS?
Shockingly, medical communities have a little clue about what cause PCOS, they do not have clear answer about it, it is still debatable. However, they guess that insulin resistance, diabetes, and obesity are all strongly correlated with PCOS.

Treatment
Based on this assumption, my cousin which have extra weight and her triglyceride level is quite high, but low blood sugar, suggested by her obsgyn to limit carbo intake and doing a lot of exercise. Sadly, this suggestion failed, she still have irregular mens and infertile.

Last year, she is doing hormone therapy, her doctor gave her progesterone to induce her follicle to mature. Her follicles mature quickly but eight follicles matures together instead of one, and this giving a problem to her, as the possibility of having eight fertilized eggs altogether is disaster, and she decide not to fertilized the eggs.

Then, the doctor gave her another option, which is called ovarian drilling,

"Laparoscopic ovarian drilling can trigger ovulation in those with PCOS, however it is a surgical treatment, and is presently considered more of a “last try” to be used in women who are still not ovulating after losing weight and taking fertility medications. A small incision is made at the belly button by the surgeon while you are out, under general anesthesia. A tube will then be placed in the incision to inflate the abdomen with a small amount of carbon dioxide gas to enable the surge to insert the laparoscope with no damage to your internal organs. Once the laparoscope is in place, the surgeon can look around your insides at your internal organs.

Once the surgeon is able to see your ovaries, he will do the ovarian drilling—the goal is to destroy the testosterone producing tissue of the ovary. There are generally small follicles which are visible on the surface of the ovary; this is where the electrical or laser energy will be directed, as this is presumed to be the spots where hormone production is at its maximum. Your surgeon will make anywhere from 4-20 holes in each ovary, which are approximately 3 millimeters wide and 3 millimeters deep."(www.womens-health.co.uk/ovarian-drilling-pcos-article.html)

Because it is risky, my cousin do not want to continue her treatment with ovarian drilling procedures.

Lately, i've found that, seeing the cause pcos just from obesity perspective is not enough, because there is another perspective. Which is coming from immunology perspective. It said, that the cause of hormonal imbalance in woman that caused pcos is coming from insulin resistance, which is triggered by inflammation

With new understanding,then i begin to treat my cousin with following procedure

1. Reiki: I begin to treat coccyx area longer with Reiki, as this area generally improve immune system response.

2. Nutritional: Cryptomonadales, a type of blue green algae from Taiwan, which consist of many nutrients and also natural ppars gamma agonist.

3. Inflammation: 4 life belle vie. Targeted transfer factor, which said to be able to increase immune system to cease down inflammation.

It's also under monitor of her obsgyn, well it is an alternative methods, worth to try, i will come back with result someday.

Stay healthy as Reiki practitioner

Last week, my best friend lend me a book, which titled The Microbe Factor: Your Innate Immunity and the Coming Health Revolution,written by a Japanese gastroentrologist, dr. Hiromi Shinya, Md. The book tell a story behind our decreasing immune system caused by our careless in treating our environment. As gastroentrologist, he written that the key to our health and longevity is in our food, we need to pay attention to what we eat. However, it is a fact that every food in market today is already being manipulated in its production, either with antibiotics, fungicide, chemical fertilizers, etc.

Even vegetables and fresh fruits are decreasing in its vitamins and mineral contents. It seems that our effort to boost food production backfire to ourself. We will giving our money more to medical assistance than to our food in the end.

As we trapped in this food situation, yes.... i say trapped, because it is very difficult to find and make sure that the food we bought is healthy enough to eat. Our immune system work less efficient than our ancestors. Thus giving us a vulnerable conditions to virus and bacteria attack. Furthermore, the antibiotics, the weapon to fight infections and inflammation is facing resistance from many bacterias which it should effectively kill.

Now, as a Reiki practitioner, how can we solve this situation?

First, we need to understand that Reiki doing its first job in our mind and heart, as in Sensei Usui 5 admonitions, it is clearly stated in his admonitions, that heart full with joy and gratitude may hinder us from many illnesses and maintain our health.

it means, that we should be put more joy in our life than before, so we do not add the detrimental effect of environmental and food with stress factors.

Secondly, Try to have organics vegetables and fresh fruits more everyday. It is better to take fruits and vegetables more than giving more toxic to ourselves from red meat.

Third, educate ourselves to know which natural healing remedies or treatment which may help us to stay healthy and cure our illnesses naturally. Every chemical drugs that enter to our body is categorized as foreign, therefore become burden to our kidney.

Finally, do Reiki healing with 12 hand positions.

And i find to focus Reiki more on coccyx area for 30 minutes will act as immunity booster to your body. If you get fever, it will quickly cease. If you get cold, you will find that your body get recover quickly.

Maybe the coccyx area, which in Yoga tantra consider as base chakra(muladhara cakra) is the energy entry point within our body to activate directly with our immune system. ( Try it :) )

So, let the doctors help us when we really need, when our natural way of living can't help anymore in a desperate situation. In that way we can reduce cost of medicine, stay healthy and keep antibiotic effectiveness for desperate situation.

Legend has said, when Padmashambava, the founder of Nyingma lineage in Tibet died, he made his teachings hidden in many places. To be open when the world need it most.

However, his teachings can only be found and understood by his students reincarnation.

A daily Reiki exercise

Though energy work in Reiki is simple, but to maintain and strengthened Reiki flow within us, we need to dedicate an hour or two to do some Reiki exercise.

The question is, Reiki has been developed into so many style with a lot of techniques and symbols, so what Reiki style and techniques to be practiced?

Many Reiki masters has its own answers, but to me, we need to go back to what Reiki is in the first place which is a technique to connect our soul to the heart of the universe through meditative state of mind.

Therefore, we need to eliminate unnecessary techniques every time and enter into deep meditative practice in the end.

To do so, i offer a simple guideline to practice Reiki daily

1. To do self healing
   whether you are already pass level 1 or shoden in Reiki, you still need to practice self healing to yourself, because self healing soften the muscle and bring clarity to your physic quickly, this is an important step before any further exercise.
2. Cakra cleansing method
   In Gendai Reiki ho we use Cakra Kassei kokyuho technique but you can use any technique to cleanse cakras in your own Reiki styles. Clean cakra help you feel balance and fresh. Bring clarity to the mind
3. Light breathing exercise
   This technique put our consciousness to Tan tien and at the same time deliver Reiki energy to whole body area, you will feel a heat sensation and your cakra get more active.
4. Gasho meditation
   At last, the last menu in this exercise. It is purely a meditation practice aiming to melt our consciousness with Reiki consciousness. Gasho means, that in original Reiki tradition this meditation was conducted in Gasho position, both hand in prayer position in front of the chest ( namaste position).

Where is the symbols? well symbol can be used just before start the entire practice, it use is to assist you in your practice. Don't think that the symbol is sacred, it is only a helping tool, the most sacred in the end is your connection with the Most Highest within you.

How to maintain positive mind?

From many questions that i received these couple days, i found that a lot of our friends trouble with maintaining their mind to stay positive. They understand that positive attitudes and gratitude feeling are the foundation of every successful life and happiness, but it seems the world always gave them bad news. Everything seems not working well, our efforts haven't paid yet, in our mind start to creep doubt and anxiety toward our future.

Well, there are numerous philosophies and techniques develop to cope with such situation. I have been in such situations for many times and already try many techniques, from always maintaining positive affirmation everyday to contemplate the meaning of impermanence. Though, such techniques are good, but it is not easily understood deeply, required exclusive time and often forgotten during most of our time.

In short, i have found a better way to deal with negative mind and stay positive. It is not meant that you will never have negative mind, because it is impossible, but you can always change to positive mind whenever you wanted to effortlessly.

Honestly, i haven't read bible in ages, but when i read it again, i found this parable:

The Parable of the Weeds (Matthew 13:24-29)

24 Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. 26 When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.
27 “The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’

28 “‘An enemy did this,’ he replied.

“The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’

29 “‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’”

Our Christian brothers understand this parable in the context that Jesus sow the seed of goodness, those who believe get into heaven and those who doesn't go to hell. I used to believe it like that, but after learning and practice Reiki and meditation more than a decade, i understand it differently.

According to me now, what Jesus trying to say in that parable is a technique to maintain positive mind and feeling within us. Let me explain a little bit about subject in the parable before i explain how it correlate with our mind:

The Kingdom of heaven = Our mind and feeling

The sower = Our own soul, our insight will, who want nothing but goodness and life.

The enemy = Negative conditions, our fear, worry and doubt.

The servant = All surrounding environment that support us, friends, family, nature, etc.

A kingdom is hierarchical structure, in which the king hold the ultimate word, when the king decide all subordinates follow. Therefore, when Jesus said about "The kingdom of heaven" obviously he talked about something that we can control, something that make us a king. In what things we can act like a king in a kingdom? Off course our mind and feeling ( our inner heart. Only in these things we have direct control.

Then, who we are so we can control our kingdom? Jesus often said that we are our father's children, it also means that we are part of the universal life itself. Our body is made of from material worlds and owe its dna from our parents but our soul is part of the universal life. Which is our real parents.

As our soul part of the universal life, we have inherent wisdom and always want goodness and more life for us and the whole life in the universe. We have tendency to feel and think good. So, our soul is the sower of wheat germ

But, the world is always moving, its appearance always changing, and make us confuse. Nothing is predictable in 100 %, our mind start to doubt and begin to worry about our future. Hence, our doubt and worry are the enemy who sow weeds.

Now the solutions:

‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’

The sower know that if he uproot the weed, the wheat will get uprooted too. When we battle with our doubt and worry, wanting it to get away, we also want our desire for goodness away too. Because the cause of our doubt and worry for the first time is our own desire for goodness.

When we want something, we declare within our mind about something good to achieve, we start to attach our hope and direct efforts toward it. Unfortunately, bad things happen, and make us fear that what we hope may not be delivered.

Therefore, negative emotions such as doubt, fear and worry always accompany positive emotions such as love, hope and creativity. If you uprooted negative you will uprooted the later.

If we can't reject the negative how we deal with them? the sower in the parable then said"

'Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.'

You can see that Jesus, taught us to let the negative grow along with positive ones, let them grow till maturity, when mature we can easily differentiate which one is good and bad, and do something about it.

Just focus with the goodness within you, let along the negative ones, make sure your goodness grow, when the result come, you can easily directing your mind and feeling toward the goodness why?

Because, your surrounding, your environment, your friends, family will react to your goodness eventually just like servants in parables to bring you good result and put the bad one into the flame of critics for fueling future improvement.

I felt, that this parable is very easy to digest and understood. Every-time we deal with negative emotions always remember this parable, let along the negative ones, and focus to grow the good one, wait till everything mature, and good things can be harvested and bad things can be used for further improvement.

Jesu said in Matthew 7:7 — Ask and ye shall receive.

In Bible, Jesus said "Ask and ye shall receive" (Matthew 7:7), those words are powerful words to guarantee that there is a God as a Supreme being is looking after our life, and will never abandon us. Since Jesus times, those who believe such words have testified that God has answered their pray and help them during trouble times.

Interestingly, in other religions,in different words and form also taught about this words. Miracles happen everyday and everywhere.

"Could there be something universal which become the fundamental truth behind every religions on earth?"

It was an enlightened dinner i ever had in my life, as i walk in into the restaurant, i am worry about what happened to my financial life if we always buy dinner at such restaurant. However, as my wife is pregnant with our first child, i didn't have heart to reject her request to dine at her favorite restaurant. So, with consent in my heart i was agree with her to dine at the restaurant.

When our order came to us, i reluctantly eat it, cause i thought that it might be the last time we will be affordable to eat in such restaurant. I keep thinking about it continuously and felt my neck getting stiffer. Then, suddenly, out of nowhere, i had an inspiring thought as i feed my mouth.

My mind flashback to many experiences during my life times, and felt so grateful that if a single moment lost in my life, my life would be different. Considering that many risk available in our life, and we can still eat for the last time, i can not think anything but blessing that i have received during my life.

I also realize, that my life getting like this, is not somebody fault or God fault, but it is because i never expect my life bigger, wealthier or healthier than this. In other word,i never grateful of my own dreams, and never regards it as good one, instead i always take somebody dreams to follow.

With heart filled with joy and gratitude, i live my life in a new vigor and hope. Then miracles continuously happen to my life, and still continue to happen.

There are only two changes in my mind,

1. I understand that if we don't expect anything, anything would not happen.
2. Improvement only come after we grateful with today circumstances, as extension of our life.

Maybe your life is in peril and distress, but maybe it is the only way, that God through suffering trying to tell us about what should we want about our life.

Treatment on influenza

As Indonesia still in rainy season during February, i find that a lot of people get cough and running nose. They say that this year rain are heavier than before, not mention the strong wind which usually accompany the rain, makes your body chill. The sad thing is, between rainy day, there are also clear and a very hot day. So, there is no weather consistency anymore in Indonesia, and this is bad for your immune system. No wonder, everyone get cough and running nose.

I thought Reiki can protect your body to stay healthy,but if you drive it too much, you will end up sick just like anybody else. However, Reiki does help you recover quicker and make your body resistant with the same problem in the future. I believe Reiki can strengthened our immune system to a certain point.

Well, last week, i found myself busy taking care businesses and often came home late at night. Though i felt cold inside, i can't relax yet after everything done. Just after everything was done, my body can't stand anymore tense, i got running nose, and cough. But, i recover in just 3 hours without fever.

Here are my tips for treating cold and influenza with Reiki

1. Set for a couple days as your resting time, don't do anything, just try to have a lot of
sleep during these days. When sleeping, your body regenerate cells, including your immune
cells.
2. Don't drink cold water, it makes your running nose worst
3. Drink ginger and tea 3 times a day.
4. Treat with Reiki on your heart first, feel your heart beating, and let Reiki pour and fill
your heart. You will eventually feel your heart and chest warmer, and your running nose get
better.
5. After treating heart, treat your hara point, 3 inches below navel for detox for 30 minutes
6. Then treat your head, front, side and back. Then have a nice sleep.

Usually the symptoms get better in 3 hours, and disappear completely after 2 days.

When what you desired hasn't come yet.....

Some people believe with their heart that Law of Attraction work for themselves, other sceptically say that the law doesn't work after trying so many times and not having their wishes fulfilled. Upset with the conditions of their life, people seems trying to find an easy way out,but if they think that Law of Attraction give them a sudden solution, think again.

The Law of Attraction also known as The Law of Karma, it is work based on cause-effect relations. It means that nothing happened without any cause, to make something happened in our life, we need to gather sufficient causes.

Here are some tips " When what you desired hasn't come yet....?

First, You need to understand that The law of attraction are the law of cause and effect, and the main cause of everything is thought. When we thought of something,our thought vibration spread in all directions, and may get response from the universe which are collection of consciousness within everything surround us. Just like a sound reflected as an echo, our thoughts are reflected back to us by the universe.

To make the echo reach to us faster, we need to strengthened our thoughts vibrations by doing the same thought over and over again. The more we think about what we want the stronger the vibrations are. One way to do this, is by doing visualization in detail of what we want and do it everyday.

Secondly, the most problems in doing LOA is when we want something to happen, we get attachment with what we want, and getting worried whether it is happening or not. This is a bad thing to do. As you worry, you think about you don't get your stuffs unconsciously, and your nerve system start to vibrate accordingly.

To overcome worry of not getting of what you want, you need to relax and try to these things i suggest:
- Proving the effectiveness of LOA by asking smaller stuffs, we get worry sometimes because
we don't know how it works, and how reliable LOA is. Asking smaller stuffs, will lessen
the burden and make you enjoy the process. When you already get enough proves, then you
may start to think something bigger to ask.

- Use LOA in a desperate circumstances, nothing prove to us better about LOA beside doing
LOA in a desperation. If you can prove to yourselves that the universe response your
request in a desperate conditions, you will trust wholeheartedly in a normal condition.

Third, to make the result of you asking come even faster, you need to start giving, by giving to you make relations. With good relations, anything can be done smoothly. If i said about giving, it is not just giving to people, but also to anything surround us whether it is your stuffs, your pet, or nature. Below are something that you can give:
- Attention, pay attention to your already possessed stuffs, and you stuffs will be in a
condition when you needed it.
- Care to your pet, and you will find that your pet can cure your distress heart when it is
come
- Create a proposal that will give other people extra money, and suddenly you got a business of
your own.
- Pray for wellbeing of any creatures on earth, and find that you are not alone.

Anything that we given, either it is mentally or materially, will create connections with whatever we given to. And when it is maintained, may make everything we asked come faster. Because only from them, we can receive blessing from the universe.

When i read Sensei Usui's admonitions, i thought it was the same as many good advices available everywhere and i didn't give it a second thought. Everybody knows, that anger and worry are the best stress related illness producers. On the other hand, gratitude, work hard and kindness are the best positive thinking we can generate to make our life meaningful.

I never thought before, that those admonitions are the key to understand Reiki practices, and how Reiki works. You may call that it is the utmost secret of Reiki, though it is not a secret(available to everyone).

Among those 5 admonitions, the hardest one to follow might be "don't worry", worry stem from our fear of something bad will be happened to anything we dear. Our life, our family and our belonging are all possible sources of fear and worry. However, it is not meant that by discarding everything we own, we will not worry anymore, because many ascetics, who already free from worldly things, often still feel worry in their mind. They worry about desiring something and losing its peaceful state.

Sensei Usui taught that we should not worry about our life. It is not meant that you have to discard everything that define you. He meant that what you worried about is not real, what you thing as your possessions are not your possession after all, as you can't keep it when you die someday.

He also taught, that we are part of the great universe, the great live, which is the source of our consciousness. When we connected with the universe and align with it, the universe will not let us alone and suffer.

What the universe need to protect us from miserable life, is our trust that its decision about our life is for our best. Ask and it is given, you can ask whatever you want about your life, and the great universe will seek for you the way to whatever you asked for without bending any natural laws.

Do not think that we are better than the universe of knowing the shortest path to our objectives. On the contrary, the universe are the one alone who knows what best for us in the right place and time. Therefore, Sensei Usui taught us not to worry of anything, because when you connect to the universe, the universe will protect you and fill your life with joy.

The same principle also apply when you doing a Reiki session. As you lay your hands on you patients, rely on the universe to heal the patients, don't do any effort, don't worry that it won't work, just trust the universe. Let anything flow effortlessly. You will find, that it is the secret of Reiki

Amitabha Buddha in Reiki

When the first time i receive DKM "Dai Ko Myo" Symbol, i was curious that it might have some connection with figure Amitabha Buddha in Mahayana Buddhism. DKM symbol is made of 3 Japanese Kanji characters Dai means Great , Ko means Light, Myo means Very bright. If you connect all those 3 characters, you may find " The great light which shine very bright".

Now, how about Amitabha Buddha, they say, Amitabha Buddha was once a human being, then he made 18 vows to liberate all sentient beings from samsara. In his vows, he will take everyone who chants his name to his Sukhavati heaven where everyone can practice dharma easily toward liberation.

So what is the connection between Reiki and Amitabha Buddha?

Amitabha Buddha, also known as "The Buddha of infinite light" and also as Amitayus " The buddha of infinite life". Buddhist practitioner especially from Mahayana lineage and Tibetan honored and pray to Amitabha Buddha, so they can be born in hi s Sukhavati heaven, and practicing dharma from therein.

Well, at first, i felt the myth and legend about Amitabha Buddha is not having any practical and philosophical background, i was thinking that it is some kind that you need to believe.

However, later on i found that D.T. Suzuki(The one who popularize Zen teaching in the west), wrote a book about Amitabha Buddha and Zen perspective about it. It quites surprising, since Zen do not attach to anything even to Buddha for enlightment. Zen practices always surround on zazen(just sitting meditation) and koan, they also don't rely on scriptures and sacred texts.

According to D.T Suzuki, Amitabha Buddha is a symbol of the primordial energy which shape our universe. It is the source of energy which make us alive. Its manifestation are numerous, from the sun until parents which always support and nurtures us.

If we think we are alive, then there are always some forces who supports us. Therefore, as energy in the universe is unlimited, Amitabha Buddha was also called as Amitayus " The Buddha of infinite life" and because energy and light are the same, Amitabha Buddha was called " The Buddha of infinite light".

So, from this perspective, Amitabha Buddha is not a superficial being, just created to satisfy people hunger for a deity who can save them, but it is a symbol of universal consciousness and energy which reside on us an in everything we see, hear and experience.

After receiving attunement for Reiki Shoden, we are told that Reiki is life energy which reside in the universe and within us, and the attunement process is only to awaken such energy to be used for healing and spiritual purposes. In level three, we receive DKM symbol and its meaning. We also have Sensei Usui Epitaph which told us how sensei Usui knowing Reiki for the first time through meditation and fasting.

With such facts, what is the relation between Reiki and Amitabha Buddha? :)

Buddhism in Reiki

In Sensei Usui'time, learning Reiki was intended to deepened spiritual insights within. Therefore what Sensei gave to his students probably rich with spiritual practices such as meditations, chantings, and prayings. His religion was not Christian, and whoever said that he was a Christian were probably trying to hide Sensei identity to make Reiki practices better accepted in the west at that time.

When Sensei Usui, learned that in the universe exist Reiki, he was in the middle of practicing Zen meditation with fasting on Kurama mountain. Undoubtedly, what he taught to his pupils was based on what he learned in Buddhism.Even, his motivation to teach Reiki was helping people to reach enlightened state, a state of perfect harmony with the universe-a Buddhism term.

So, what i learned from Buddhism and its connection to Reiki?

First of all, when we get attunement for the first time, we are told that we are connecting to the universal energy. In fact, we are just being reminded that we are belong to one consciousness and one energy field though different in vibrations. The harmonious energy in Reiki is similar with Buddhism term of Upeka ( a state of balance mind and emotion), when we attuned with Reiki, we are not just attuned to Reiki energy, but also to a balance state of consciousness.

In balance, everything get healed.

Second, Cho ku Rei symbol in Okuden level, means focus. In Buddhism, there is a practice called shamata bhavana, it is a practice to train our concentration. Without proper concentration, we can't reach balance, because balance or harmonious thought appear only in one single pointed mind concentration.

Now Sei he ki, in Buddhist culture, the symbol Sei he ki looks like the seed syllable "Hri", a syllable used to represent Boddhisatva Chen Re Zig or Avalokitesvara who also represent universal compassion. I understand Sei He Ki as deeper understanding about what is balance state of mind.

As everything in the universe are moving, nothing is at rest, balance also means flowing with exact rhythm with the universe,. Apart from common understanding that balance means standstill and not moving.

In motion, everything resolve, sadness, grief, attachment and fear, are signs that our minds not flowing. Therefore, this symbol teach our mind to vibrate with the rhythm of the universe.

The last, HZSSN symbol taught about the core consciousness of everything is one. It is like the sun that energize every living thing on earth. Therefore it is connected with fire element and the sun. But it represents more than just a sun, it is the life energy itself which the source of the universe. In Buddhism, it represent Amitabha Buddha, the Buddha of infinite light.

I heard, that Hiroshi Doi sensei told some of his students, that DKM is not needed in traditional Reiki, because it taught the same thing from different angle with HZSSN symbol.

Why Law of attraction don't work on me?

Living in this world, for so many people are not easy. Therefore, "The Law of Attraction" teachings are something which people loved and can not be missed, as it promises change and improvement in our life.

There are so many proves out there, any outstanding success figures in the world use the principle of " The law of attraction" consciously or unconsciously. The more success they are, the more they are willing to go for more success.

Unfortunately, there are people who feel being left behind. While they see many people had success, their life seems has no improvement, still broke and miserable. They said " Why law of attraction don't work on me?"

I've tested the law, and here are my findings

Though it seems easy to change life based on the teachings, but in reality we need more than just courage, but also determination to break down any barriers. We talk about habits here. Our present conditions were created by our old habits, especially mentally. Therefore in Reiki we are taught to use Nentatsu ho for changing our old thinking habits.

Remember, your present conditions were created for a long period of time, more than a year, perhaps your entire life. I felt a great battle within my own mind and feeling when practice the law for the first time. It was a terrible moments, my head went dizzy all the time.

We discuss about habits, because the prerequisite of working with the "law of attraction" is a constant thinking and feeling good about what we want. However,most of us were taught since childhood about how scarce money is, and how the world has so many unending problems, or many bad politicians steal and cheat on us, etc. But, the most destructive teaching we ever had is when we are taught that having desire for more is not good and we need to satisfy with whatever we have right now.

Suppressing such desires later on manifest as jealousy, discontent, anger, frustration and lust. It is natural for having a desire for more, without desire for more, there will be no improvement and growth. Because our cells want more food, therefore they can build a strong adults like us.

People taught us not to dream about having more to protect us from grief when we don't get what we want. Seldom we are taught, that there is a creative force around us and within us which we can rely on and response to our dreams and goals. Such force, nurture and teach us the way of the nature, through mistakes and failure. We are guided by the force to whatever we dream of.

So, there are 3 reasons why the law may seems not working
1. Do not know what to desire because don;t dare to dream
2. Do not realize and rely on the creative force of the universe.
3. Unable to stay focus on what we dream of.

Reason number 3 are critical for activating the law of attraction. Focusing with all of our mind and heart on what we dream of are very difficult to do. If we change every minute what we dream of, the universe will not answer our dream.

We need focus, creative force in the universe has its own time to gather necessary elements and circumstances to manifest your dreams. The universe Consciousness is trying to protect us by trying to improve our being to be match with what we dream of. Therefore, until we are ready to receive what we dream of, we have to wait and improve our self.

The law of attraction work as matchmaker. Demand must meet supply. If you want more, therefore you need to have capacities to receive more.

Understand this, and see the law work. It works on me, and shall you.

Cancer marker

Cancer is a horrible disease, many have died before its time because of it. I've treat several people with cancer and believe me its not a good experience. People with cancer in metastases stage often feel pain all the time, and sometime their sighs can distract you when doing Reiki treatments.

It is not uncommon,after hearing such lamentations, we want Reiki doing miracles, and make quick recovery inside our patients bodies. However, our spiritual progress rarely reach a stage where we can heal patients just by a single touch.

So, it is beneficial for Reiki practitioners who help cancer patients to combine with medical treatments such chemotherapy and radiation, or herbal remedies. In addition,we need to understand the effectiveness of the treatment through cancer marker indicators. With indicators which medical professionals called cancer markers, we are able to know whether our treatment have positive progress or not.

So,What is cancer/tumor marker?

Tumor markers are substances produced by tumor cells or by other cells of the body in response to cancer or certain benign (noncancerous) conditions. These substances can be found in the blood, in the urine, in the tumor tissue, or in other tissues. Different tumor markers are found in different types of cancer, and levels of the same tumor marker can be altered in more than one type of cancer. In addition, tumor marker levels are not altered in all people with cancer, especially if the cancer is early stage. Some tumor marker levels can also be altered in patients with noncancerous conditions.

To date, researchers have identified more than a dozen substances that seem to be expressed abnormally when some types of cancer are present. Some of these substances are also found in other conditions and diseases. Scientists have not found markers for every type of cancer.

Cancer Marker Tests: These are immunological methods - cancer markers that are produced as cancer grows and are detectable even before it reaches a size big enough for detection by other methods.

Alpha fetoprotein (AFP) levels are often elevated in liver cancers (hepatocellular) and testicular cancers (non-seminomatous). Raised levels are also present during pregnancy or some gastrointestinal cancers.

CA 15.3 values are often elevated in patients with breast cancers. When there is a history of cancer among family members, patients may be advised to also do a breast mammogram. Besides breast cancer, other non-malignant conditions (eg. cirrhosis, benign diseases of ovaries & breast) have also been known to cause elevated CA 15.3 levels.

CA 19.9 - for gastric/pancreatic or stomach cancer - It is a diagnostic tool for those with stomach trouble such as symptoms of gastritis, abdominal pains, or gas. Its level is best evaluated along with CEA marker test.

CA125 has become a widely used tumor marker which is measured most often in women with cancers of the reproductive system including the uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries. Other cancers that may cause abnormal CA125 levels include cancer of the pancreas, lungs, breast and colon. However, CA125/CA125-II can be elevated during menstruation, pregnancy or in individuals with ovarian cysts, pericarditis, hepatitis, cirrhosis of the liver or peritonitis, an infection of the lining of the abdomen, and even in 1-2% of healthy individuals. Once a cancer is diagnosed, CA125/CA125-II levels may prove to be an effective indicator of the effectiveness of cancer treatment. A declining CA125/CA125-II value may indicate a good response to treatment and a favorable prognosis. Persistently rising CA125/CA125-II levels may be associated with a growing tumor, presence of tumor on the peritoneum that lines the abdomen or a recurrence of a previously treated tumor. Additional evaluation is necessary to make such determinations.

Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) is a cancer marker to screen for colorectal cancer - it is associated with digestive tract cancers (eg of the colon) as well as other malignant and non-malignant disorders. It is recommended for those with frequent constipation, diarrhea, or bleeding piles for an initial diagnostic tool. It can also help detect Medullary thyroid cancer (MTC).

EVP - Cancer marker to screen for nasophryngeal cancer. Epstein Bar virus (EBV) has been shown to have a direct relationship with NPC where it can be detected in NPC tumors and patients with NPC tend to have higher titres of EBV specific antibodies than the general population.

Blood cell test

In many blood test, we often find Red blood cell test and white blood test. Medical professionals use this test to know our conditions before certain treatments. As we doing Reiki treatments and we might suggest supplements to our clients, therefore we need to know our treatments results through this test. I believe Reiki treatments can't replace medical treatments but can complete each others.

Red cells

Total red blood cells — The number of red cells is given as an absolute number per litre.

Hemoglobin - The amount of hemoglobin in the blood, expressed in grams per decilitre. (Low hemoglobin is called anemia.)

Hematocrit or packed cell volume (PCV) - This is the fraction of whole blood volume that consists of red blood cells.

Mean corpuscular volume (MCV) - the average volume of the red cells, measured in femtolitres. Anemia is classified as microcytic or macrocytic based on whether this value is above or below the expected normal range. Other conditions that can affect MCV include thalassemia, reticulocytosis and alcoholism.

Mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH) - the average amount of hemoglobin per red blood cell, in picograms.

Mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC) - the average concentration of hemoglobin in the cells.

Red blood cell distribution width (RDW) - a measure of the variation of the RBC population

White cells

Total white blood cells - All the white cell types are given as a percentage and as an absolute number per litre.

A complete blood count with differential will also include:

Neutrophil granulocytes — May indicate bacterial infection. May also be raised in acute viral infections.Because of the segmented appearance of the nucleus, neutrophils are sometimes referred to as "segs." The nucleus of less mature neutrophils is not segmented, but has a band or rod-like shape. Less mature neutrophils — those that have recently been released from the bone marrow into the bloodstream — are known as "bands" or "stabs". Stab is a German term for rod.

Lymphocytes — Higher with some viral infections such as glandular fever and. Also raised in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Can be decreased by HIV infection. In adults, lymphocytes are the second most common WBC type after neutrophils. In young children under age 8, lymphocytes are more common than neutrophils.

Monocytes — May be raised in bacterial infection, tuberculosis, malaria, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, monocytic leukemia, chronic ulcerative colitis and regional enteritis

Eosinophil granulocytes — Increased in parasitic infections, asthma, or allergic reaction.

Basophil granulocytes- May be increased in bone marrow related conditions such as leukemia or lymphoma.

Platelets
Platelet numbers are given, as well as information about their size and the range of sizes in the blood.
Mean platelet volume (MPV) - a measurement of the average size of platelets.

The following information describes what each component is responsible for in a basic chemical workup blood test.

What Does Your Blood Test Mean?

Glucose: This is the chief source of energy for all living organisms. A level greater than 105 in someone who has fasted for 12 hours suggests a diabetic tendency. If this level is elevated even in a non-fasting setting one must be concerned that there is a risk for developing diabetes. This is an incredibly powerful test and can predict diabetes ten years or more before one develops the strict definition of diabetes which is levels greater than 120.

Sodium: This element plays an important role in salt and water balance in your body. A low level in the blood can be caused by too much water intake, heart failure, or kidney failure. A low level can also be caused by loss of sodium in diarrhea, fluid or vomiting. A high level can be caused by too much intake of salt or by not enough intake of water.

Potassium and Magnesium: These elements are found primarily inside the cells of the body. Low levels in the blood may indicate severe diarrhea, alcoholism, or excessive use of water pills. A very low level of magnesium in the blood can cause your muscles to tremble. Low potassium levels can cause muscle weakness and heart problems.

Chloride: Is an electrolyte controlled by the kidneys and can sometimes be affected by diet. An electrolyte is involved in maintaining acid-base balance and helps to regulate blood volume and artery pressure. Elevated levels are related to acidosis as well as too much water crossing the cell membrane.

BUN (Blood Urea Nitrogen): BUN is a waste product derived from protein breakdown in the liver. Increases can be caused by excessive protein intake, kidney damage, certain drugs, low fluid intake, intestinal bleeding, exercise, heart failure or decreased digestive enzyme production by the pancreas. Decreased levels are most commonly due to inadequate protein intake, malabsorption, or liver damage.

Creatinine: Creatinine is also a protein breakdown product. Its level is a reflection of the bodies muscle mass. Low levels are commonly seen in inadequate protein intake, liver disease, kidney damage or pregnancy. Elevated levels are generally reflective of kidney damage and need to be monitored very carefully.

Uric Acid: Uric acid is the end product purine metabolism. High levels are seen in gout, infections, high protein diets, and kidney disease. Low levels generally indicate protein and molybdenum (trace mineral) deficiency, liver damage or an overly acid kidney.

Phosphate: Phosphate is closely associated with calcium in bone development. Therefore most of the phosphate in the body is found in the bones. But the phosphate level in the blood is very important for muscle and nerve function. Very low levels of phosphate in the blood can be associated with starvation or malnutrition and this can lead to muscle weakness. High levels in the blood are usually associated with kidney disease. However the blood must be drawn carefully as improper handling may falsely increase the reading.

Calcium: Calcium is the most abundant mineral in the body. It is involved in bone metabolism, protein absorption, fat transfer, muscular contraction, transmission of nerve impulses, blood clotting, and heart function. It is highly sensitive to elements such as magnesium, iron, and phosphorous as well as hormonal activity, vitamin D levels, CO2 levels and many drugs. Diet, or even the presence of calcium in the diet has a lot to do with "calcium balance" – how much calcium you take in and how much you lose from your body.

Albumin: The most abundant protein in the blood, it is made in the liver and is an antioxidant that protects your tissues from free radicals. It binds waste products, toxins and dangerous drugs that might damage the body. Is also is a major buffer in the body and plays a role in controlling the precise amount of water in our tissues. It serves to transport vitamins, minerals and hormones. The higher this number is, the better. The highest one can reasonably expect would be 5.5.

Alkaline Phosphatase: Alkaline phosphatase is an enzyme that is found in all body tissue, but the most important sites are bone, liver, bile ducts and the gut. A high level of alkaline phosphatase in your blood may indicate bone, liver or bile duct disease. Certain drugs may also cause high levels. Growing children, because of bone growth, normally have a higher level than adults do. Low levels indicate low functioning adrenal glands, protein deficiency, malnutrition or more commonly, a deficiency in zinc.

Transaminases (SGTP) & (SGOT): These are enzymes that are primarily found in the liver. Drinking too much alcohol, certain drugs, liver disease and bile duct disease can cause high levels in the blood. Hepatitis is another problem that can raise these levels. Low levels of GGTP may indicate a magnesium deficiency. Low levels of SGPT and SGOT may indicate deficiency of vitamin B6.

Gamma-Glutamyltranserase (GGTP): Believed to be involved in the transport of amino acids into cells as well as glutathione metabolism. Found in the liver and will rise with alcohol use, liver disease, or excess magnesium. Decreased levels can be found in hypothyroidism and more commonly decreased magnesium levels.

Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH): LDH is an enzyme found in all tissues in the body. A high level in the blood can result from a number of different diseases. Also, slightly elevated levels in the blood are common and usually do not indicate disease. The most common sources of LDH are the heart, liver, muscles, and red blood cells.

Total Protein: This is a measure of the total amount of protein in your blood. A low or high total protein does not indicate a specific disease, but it does indicate that some additional tests may be required to determine if there is a problem.

Iron: The body must have iron to make hemoglobin and to help transfer oxygen to the muscle. If the body is low in iron, all body cells, particularly muscles in adults and brain cells in children, do not function up to par. If this test is low you should consider getting a Ferritin test, especially if you are a female who still has menstrual cycles.

Triglycerides: These are fats used as fuel by the body, and as an energy source for metabolism. Increased levels are almost always a sign of too much carbohydrate intake. Decreased levels are seen in hyperthyroidism, malnutrition and malabsorption.

Cholesterol: Group of fats vital to cell membranes, nerve fibers and bile salts, and a necessary precursor for the sex hormones. High levels indicate diet high in carbohydrates/sugars. Low levels indicate low fat diet, malabsorption, or carbohydrate sensitivity.

HDL/LDL: LDL is the "bad cholesterol", which carries cholesterol for cell building needs, but leaves behind any excess on artery walls and in tissues. HDL is the "good cholesterol" which helps to prevent narrowing of the artery walls by removing the excess cholesterol and transporting it to the liver for excretion. A low HDL percentage frequently indicates diets high in refined carbohydrates and/or carbohydrate sensitivity.

CO2: The CO2 level is related to the respiratory exchange of carbon dioxide in the lungs and is part of the bodies buffering system. Generally, when used with the other electrolytes, carbon dioxide levels indicate pH or acid/alkaline balance in the tissues. This is one of the most important tests that we measure. Most people have too much acid in their body. If you garden you will know that it is very difficult to grow plants in soil where the pH is incorrect. Our blood is similar to soil in many respects and it will be difficult to be healthy if our body's pH is not well balanced.

WBC: White blood count measures the total number of white blood cells in a given volume of blood. Since WBCs kill bacteria, this count is a measure of the body's response to infection.

Hemoglobin: Hemoglobin provides the main transport of oxygen and carbon in the blood. It is composed of "globin", a group of amino acids that form a protein and "heme", which contains iron. It is an important determinant of anemia (decreased hemoglobin) or poor diet/nutrition or malabsorption.

Hematocrit: Hematocrit is the measurement of the percentage of red blood cells in whole blood. It is an important determinant of anemia (decreased), dehydration (elevated) or possible overhydration (decreased).

MCV: Thismeasures the average size of the red blood cells and their volume. These components together can indicate iron deficiency anemia (decreased), B12/folate deficiency anemia (increased), or rheumatoid arthritis (decreased).

Energies in Reiki

As we familiar with Reiki practices, we discover that there are people claimed to channel new types of Reiki energy, with more attributes than the traditional ones. Some peopele claim their new found Reiki is stronger, quicker in healing process, or more spiritual in nature.

But, are there more than one Reiki energies in the universe?

Off course not, there is only one Universal consciousness in the universe but with many different manifestations. As for Reiki energies, Sensei Usui, once taught his students to progress in meditation practices and develop strong spiritual habits. He even pointed out that, when you make progress in your spiritual life, your healing energy is getting stronger therefore you can heal faster.

Reiki can appear to us with any form that we like, warm, cold, or tingling or any sensations that can be sensed. The true is, Reiki has no form at all, our mind and inner nature act as filter and giving it form.

Only one thing common within any form of Reiki energies which is giving the feeling as the feeling of welcomed, loved, understanding and protection.

It is like we are hugged by our true parents in their love and protection.

When a practitioner has advanced in spirituality, he/she may found that their Reiki energy is shifting toward greater energy frequency. That's why they feel their new found Reiki energy have more healing effect.

However, it is not meant that they have found new Reiki, but they have advanced in their spiritual progress, so their capacity and quality to receive Reiki energy also getting bigger and finer.

What they experienced can be transferred to others using attunements process. Their students may advance quicker than before when receive this attunements.

If you get attunements from a newly trained Reiki master, you may find that their Reiki energy is different with those who already practicing and teaching Reiki for years. Teachers with a lot of experience in Reiki and spirituality may help you advance further.

I believe it is depending on your readiness to accept Reiki with higher power and quality. When you ready the teacher will appear.

Do not worry, if your Reiki seems not powerful as others because in time your Reiki energy is getting powerful

I have found in the internet, that Reiki being researched by NCAA to seek its scientific proved of its effectiveness against many illnesses. It is good, i just thinking that maybe when the proved enough already, Reiki treatment can side by side with medical treatment to improved the quality of medication.

However, Reiki effectiveness may different from one to another, depending on how diligent you trained,which attunement level you already acquired, your sensing ability, and which kind of Reiki energy you channels. Those are variables that determined whether or not a Reiki treatment effective. Therefore, a Reiki test, should be taking account those variables.

Meanwhile, for those who just taking first level of Reiki attunements from any Reiki schools, i would like to discuss a method to greatly increase your Reiki energy and sensitivity.

Reiki as we know today, is a by product of spiritual quest of Sensei Mikao Usui. In fact, as explain in his epitaph, he sees Reiki a his method to help people in their spiritual quest while enjoying good health and prosperity.Therefore, when we want to channel more Reiki energy, we need to improve our relationship with our spiritual nature.

Different from western view, that seeing the spiritual world exist outside themselves, like a different dimension of existence to enter, the eastern perspective see the spiritual dimension lies within their own mind and heart. It is already there within us. What we have to do is able to realize this and listen its voice.

To be able to do this, we need to calm our mind, relax our body and letting our mind find out its own nature. This well describe by Mingyur Rinpoche "Meditation and non meditation". His method is simple, but sound. Connect directly to our spiritual nature, which lies in our own mind.

Believe or not, the amount of Reiki energy that you can channel is in alignment with how you realize your spiritual self. That's why when we want to improve our healing skill, we need to follow sensei Usui's step in his spiritual quest by practicing meditation.

As we enter deeply into meditation, our senses getting stronger, and we may perceive Reiki energy differently. Your sensitivity to illnesses also sharpened. There are knowledge which can only be understood during deep meditation, such as how energy shape our body and become the template of our existence.

Yes, it is sound like Buddhist teaching. Reiki was found by Sensei Usui,in his quest for enlightenment, a Buddhist ideal, with Buddhist way of meditation. But, don't be discourage if you are not a Buddhist, and found that the Buddhist ideal awkward.

The idea of meditation is simple and universal, what we can achieve during meditation is also universal. Whether you believe or not in Buddhist teachings, doesn't effect anything with your achievement.

When we first received Reiki attunement, we think we are attuned to a healing energy sources, seldom we think that we also attuned to the heart of the universe itself.

Sensei Mikao Usui, in his interview, telling about how Reiki can help people stay healthy physically, mentally and spiritually, therefore after receive Reiki's blessing, we can not do anything but gratitude toward the universe.

It is also said, that the first Reiki communities, face great difficulty to maintain their status as Reiki practitioners or masters among societies in general because they believe differently with other people.

But, as Sensei Usui wishes, Reiki spread through Hawayo Takata and back to Japan. Finally, Reiki can be accepted in modern times, and the descendants of the first Reiki communities may open themselves and share some of their teachings.

Reiki can be seen as a bridge to connect our consciousness with the Universe Consciousness which set everything in harmony and order. This Consciousness always in a state of harmony and balance.

This consciousness, is the same as what Rosicrucian's call as Cosmic consciousness or common people called God, but contrast to the concept of God, which has a personality and apart from everything else, seeing us as His creation. Cosmic consciousness or the Universe consciousness is being seen as the seed of all consciousness, therefore any creation are part of it with the same quality, the differences are on the scale.

To describe it better, we are drops of water, and the universe is the ocean. With Reiki attunements, our direct link to the universe strengthened, widen and fortified. That's why we can send healing energy to ourselves and others. In fact, we can also send our images of what we want through this channel and inform the universe about it. Meditation and Non-meditation Talk One

Here we are relaxing in our body and mind while being aware that that is what we are doing. By being aware that we are relaxing when we are relaxing, we come to gain control over our mind. So that's easy, right? It is very easy. You do not need to do anything. You do not need to meditate. You do not need to create anything. You do not need to work hard. Therefore it is easier than sleeping! When we want to sleep, we need to make our bed and make sure there's a nice pillow and then finally we lay down and relax.

When we relax in this way what is our mind like? Our mind is relaxed and comfortable but still we cannot identify it; we can't point at our mind and say "this is my relaxed mind" or "this is my comfortable mind." This meditation technique that has just been described is called shamatha or calm abiding meditation without object.

Beginners probably would not experience that type of meditation for more than two, three or five seconds, but that's fine. We should practice in short segments many times. If we set out a very large container and put it in a place where it could catch drops of water, these single drops of water will cause the whole container to become full. In the same way, if we practice in short segments many times, our meditation will improve. We shouldn't think thoughts like "I need to sit for a long time," "I need to stop my thoughts," because thoughts will happen and we cannot stop them. We can't shoot our thoughts, we can't burn our thoughts, and even if we set off a bomb, that will not stop our thoughts. That is the nature of mind. We do not need to stop our thoughts. What do we need? We need mindfulness. The main point about shamatha meditation is mindfulness, or, in other words, awareness.

Meditation and Non-meditation Talk Two

If you understand this meditation-without-object technique, you will attain Buddhahood very quickly. Maybe in two or three days [laughter]. It is a very profound meditation but there is nothing special about it.

Our biggest obstacle in meditation is the movement of thoughts - thoughts of desire, aggression, ignorance, jealousy and so on. There are all kinds of movement in our minds - we usually think of these thoughts as getting in the way of our meditation and harming or destroying our meditation.

But if we understand the key points of meditation, then those very thoughts actually will be support for our meditation and will not harm our meditation at all. It is the same as how forms become support for our meditation.

As we look at our thoughts in this way, even a hundred thousand thoughts, that means you have a hundred thousand supports for meditation. That is very good. The thoughts themselves become a support for holding our mind.

Everything is interdependently arisen. Everything comes into being by depending on something else. For us as humans to experience goodness or benefit, we have to depend upon others to experience that goodness, benefit or happiness. Without depending on others, it is very difficult for anything good to happen to us.

Since we all live in a human society on one single planet, we have to depend upon each other. The best way to depend upon and communicate with each other is through having loving kindness and compassion. If we have these qualities, we will be able to relate with each other, we will have connections with each other, and we can depend upon each other.

But if we don't have any loving kindness and compassion, the entire path of depending upon, communicating with and having connections with each other will become destroyed. If we have loving kindness and compassion with an attitude that we are contributing to this interdependence of humans, things will come along well for ourselves, things will come along well for others and the whole world will benefit. When that happens we will not need armies or a lot of laws or police.

What is the essence of bodhichitta? The essence of bodhichitta is the heart that thinks, "I alone, personally, will establish all sentient beings in the state of complete enlightenment." This is quite a great heart, isn't it? Whether we are or are not able to establish sentient beings in enlightenment in that way does not matter. It is first important to think that we are going to do it.

By giving rise to this heart we reflect on the essence of sentient beings. If you give this an attractive name, you could call it "buddha nature." But you could also call it "sentient beings nature." It is the same thing. Sentient beings nature is buddha nature.

It is free from confusion and impurities from the beginning. Buddha taught this as being primordially free from all suffering and endowed with all happiness. Isn't it true that we all want happiness and want to be free from suffering? And, according to the Buddha, this desire that we have is itself a sign that our true nature is free from suffering and completely endowed with undefiled happiness, undefiled bliss.

The Buddha taught that this desire that is present in all beings is a sign of what our true nature is. What we are doing when we have that desire to be happy and free from suffering is trying to rise to meet our true nature, to be one with our true nature.

It is the year of 2006, when i first met Mingyur Rinpoche, a Tibetan Buddhist teacher from Kagyu Lineage. His age and mine are not so distance, but his spiritual energy emanating from his aura are enormous. A sign of spiritual prowess.

I met him, when he taught Mahamudra 1st lessons for the first time in Surabaya, Indonesia. It was just like another seminar to me at first, but during a meeting with several students before he left Surabaya, i have an opportunity to sit quite near around 10 meters in distance.

Suddenly i began to cry, as if i have been quite close with Rinpoche before and already separated for years but now able to meet again.Its like if you have separated with your parents the rest of your life and now you suddenly met again.

I don't have any explanation about how and why it happened, but i know that, a week after the meeting i suddenly able to understand Buddhist teaching, and gained a lot of insights. It was like some of His knowledge being transferred directly to my mind.

Maybe that was one of the mystery within the Tibetan Buddhist esoteric teachings. But, my life was never be the same again. Apart from what happened after i met him, Rinpoche taught a simple and practical way to enter meditation. He taught about how our mind should behave when confronting obstacles such as fleeting mind and pain.

Tao, the way of non action

At first, i didn't understand why Tao, the most popular philosophy in China can be implemented in life. Tao, teach about how non-action mind state can lead to harmonious life and every problems that we face will eventually fade by itself.

We got tons of problems in life. Our life depends on many things which change overtime, there are things to worry about, from our debts in local grocery stores to unpromising economic conditions or from family matters to national matters. Everything in our life is in constant changing, what we seems as stability is just a condition before change take occur.

So, many actions required to stay balance with our life, with our lifestyle and with everything that we dear. There is no possible way for ourself to be inactive, unless we want to face the risk losing what we hold dear.

But, Tao....Suggest the other way around, non-action to solve problem. How this "non-action things" can solve our problems? your problems?

Well, Tao philosophy source is Tao the ching, a book contain around 5000 chinese ancient character wrote by Lao Tzu. In his life, what Lao Tzu teach didn't understood also by many commoners, even Confucius didn't take credit to it until He finally realized its truth in later years of his life.

Lao Tzu teaching was not listened, and he was disappointed with people and starting into an exile for becoming a hermit. Fortunately, before he went out of the city's gate, the chief guard who get the information that this great sage is leaving, rashly leave his post and asked his subordinates to stop the sage from leaving. He greet the sage and tell him that if he leaves now without leaving his teaching, no one would benefit from it and asked the sage to write down his teaching otherwise he won't let the sage from leaving the city's gate.

Lao Tzu agreed, he camped near the city gate, and starting to write down his philosophy. After completing the book, Lao Tzu left the city and no one ever seem to saw him again late.

So, what's in it, Lao Tzu said there is something so big, shapeless, filling the universe within and without, which can not be named. When we named it, the name itself is not sufficient enough describing it, but for the purpose of communication, he called it "TAO" or the way.

He believed that anything in the universe is in order, following certain law. Nothing is essentially permanent, everything was born, mature and dissolve by itself. The Tao maintain everything, evolved everything without effort as everything follow its own nature.

Therefore, any action created without understanding Tao, interfere with the nature's process which will lead to new problems.

To understand the Tao, it is better using a river as analogy. The river knows where its heading,when hit the barriers, it doesn't breaking directly instead it goes around it and continue its journey. When stop, the river stop, collecting power, waiting for the best opportunity to flow again.

My understanding of tao the ching is similar when i understood " Law of attraction".It is not meant, we don't do anything, but we trust the law of the universe, and act based on it rather on our will.

If you have problem,think about the solution, clearly state within your mind the ideal conditions and situation, then forget it, let the universe guide you to where you want to go. Let the spontaneous and natural action expressed itself. Then you will find, that every problems dissolve itself naturally effort less.

Tao the ching and law of attraction is so similar, if you understand tao you will understand law of attraction vice versa.

Working with law of attraction

I always admire Rhonda Byrne's film, "The Secret", i have watched the movie hundred of times perhaps, though not everyone agree with the content and ask septics questions about whether "The law of attraction works or not.

Can you believe it? You can be whatever you want, and you can have whatever you want just by thought of it..... It seems ridiculous at first, but nothing can be gain without the first step can't we? So despite many criticism from my friends and family about "The secret" i continue practicing what the movie prescribe.

Well, after many trials i found my own understanding about " The Law of attraction" that work. Do you want to know?

I've been trying the use of the law in these circumstances:
1. Asking for rain.....Succeed
2. Asking for an apple....Succeed
3. Repeat asking for an apple...Succeed after 2 days
4. 3rd repeat asking for an apple.....Failed
5. Mentally asking for a car park in crowded festival....Succeed
6. Asking money in 5 days.....30% succeed
7. Asking great money continuously come.....( Suddenly get first business, tons of idea, etc.) "i think its still in the progress.

8. Married in 2 years....Succeed
9. Having a boy baby.....Succeed
10. Finding how to make great vegetarian meat....Succeed

so, above list are things in my life that i worked with " Law of attraction". It seems to me that the universe is like matchmaker.

When you asked something, the universe will try to figure out how to connect you with what you asked. If an apple you asked, the universe will find out is there someone who you can connect in order to give you the apple.

And, there is always a reason why this people can be connected to you, here, the principle of contribution apply. For example, If you helped someone in the past, or having a good relations with someone in the past, maybe you gave him/her something and not get something in return. But, now, He or she has more apple and start to think about giving it to someone, suddenly your name pop up in his/her mind.

So, whatever you gave to people, is never gone, it just come back to you more.

Now, what happened when you were so stingy before, and never gave to anybody or making a good relations with anybody before? don't worry, start over with good deeds now, the universe will count it, and suddenly the law will work well with you.

Yeah off course, the universe will tell you by inspiration, that you need to do this first, do that first, learn this first, meet this people firs, etc. By the time you finish doing things which your inspiration tell you, .....you are in a direction to have what you desire and what seems to be just a dream before, is now something that can be achieved. Amazing isn't it.

The things that seems disturbing the law of attraction to work is:

1. Doubt
2. Not knowing about what we really want
3. Want to know how the universe arrange the things for us
4. Unable to feel gratitude and connected to universe.

As my third request for an apple failed, maybe i just doubt that the universe will grant me this time because inside i think like " this can't be true, no one can be lucky all this time without any consequences" and starting to doubt.

When experiment with finding my favorite parking lot, i change my request by asking" i have a good site for parking my car every time i want to park" then forget about it, and start to feel gratitude about whatever parking lot available for me to park.

But, i always get my favorite parking lot, better parking lot, and a parking lot no matter how crowded it is. So, i am not mentally asking for every time i need a parking lot, but for every time i need parking lot in my life, and i just feel gratitude every time i get my parking lot.

"Unable to feel gratitude" and "want to know how the universe will work for us" just to check how reliable for us create anxious feeling within us, depressed us, frustrate us for immediate relieve, therefore may lead us to do things which we will regret in the future.

To remedy this situation, i do this:
1. Enjoying the things whatever you do when you feel this anxious feeling,whether it is eating, talking with someone, listening to the music, etc. ..just enjoy it
2. Feel gratitude after you feel enjoying your life,its definitely connect you with the heart of the universe.
3. Thinking the opposite situation of your worrying things. If you worry about lacking money, think about having money and its possibility.

Enjoying things, is a wonderful moment, because just by enjoying things, you will feel blessed and gratitude starting blooming within you.

When you feel blessed and gratitude within you, it is time for you to create within your mind the situation and the things that you want, The energy is there- and with your direction from your visualization of what you want.

What you wish is what you get.....

Hi guys, I have a story to tell you about gratitude. If you like the "Law of Attraction" theory, this story is probably for you. Here is the story:

Long time ago in china, lived an old man with his 2 grandson. Many years had passed since the children's parents died. It was a common things, to found many children parent less, they lived in during wartime age, an age, when many warlords fight each other and destroyed many villages.

Everyday, the old man taught both of them about the great universe that take care of them and people should gave thanks for anything in their life. It was a custom for them to gave thanks before they eat and work in the farm.

However, The elder brother seems not listening to the advice, and always eat before prayer, and work in the farm earlier just because he won't his grandfather told him to pray first before work.

His brother, listened to the advice, and say thanks before eat and work. He was so accustomed to it, and can't even eat or work if he didn't do the prayer first.

Then, one day, the local warlord came to the village, and he found the farm where the old man and his two grandson work. He was curious about how the old man's farm bear more result than his neighbor's. Then he asked the old man about how his farm can bear more results, and the old man said that it was his great pleasure to have two great sons with him, it was their hard work that made the farm bear great result.

While talking with the old man, the warlord notice that, the farm was very well irrigated, and there were many tools that he were never saw before. He asked the old man about it, and the old man said it was his elder grandson did it, he made the tools and made irrigation plan to water the farm.

Amazed by the answer, the warlord took the elder brother with him, so he can work in his farm and apply his innovation. While the younger brother still stay in the village.

After few years, the elder brother became famous as he was appointed as a new agriculture minister.

Hearing the news, the younger brother ask his grand father, why his fortune were lesser than his brother even though he pray more than his older brother.

The old man said, though your brother don't like pray with his mouth, he realized how important food was, and he felt the blessing of the universe in every grain he ate. Therefore, though he never pray before work, he always worked longer in the farm to make sure that everything was done.

And, he always believed that his life was blessing for everyone, and he tried as hard as he could to increase grain production by creating new tools and irrigation plan so he can see many people get feed.

With all of that, the elder brother say gratitude with his heart and deed. He just mastered the essence of gratitude which is, " To enjoy".

Have you ever read a book titled The Complete Master Key System (Now including 28 Chapters)
, by Charles F. Haanel? The book describe a lot about how to think properly to achieve success. It is said that many success entrepreneur get succeed by inspiration of this book, that's include Bill Gates, Anthony Robbin, etc.

There are a lot of self help book available in stores, that's why i don't interested with this book in the beginning until my dad buy me one and said, "This book is good for you" and place it on the table. I just reply "ok, i'll read it later" then not pay attention to it anymore. But, few days later, i just came home from work and need to relax a little bit, my eyes suddenly found this book which already there on my table for few days.

Then, after read few pages, i felt need to read more pages. I was interested on how Charles F. Haanel explain about mind and its connection to many phenomena and situation within our life.

As i practice everything that the book prescribe, i found that it is answer my lifetime question about what is the relationship between spiritual training, Reiki and my life.

Don't you think it is great that whatever we thought about and visualize about are made to come to reality by the " Law of attraction" as long as we have faith to it.

Cancer cure

Can cancer be cured without any radiation therapy or chemo ? Recently i've encountered a surprising evidents that chemo therapy and radiation which kill cancer cells along with healthy cells do not solve the problems, but worsen it. Some people dies not because of the cancer but from the therapy.

Materialize your desire

Yesterday, i found an article which tell a story about a holy man, upon entering the heaven, he see a lot of boxes around the door of heaven. Those boxes wrapped beautifully as it meant to be given to someone birthday. Then he see a lot of angels come out from the heaven door and piling up more boxes around the heaven door.

Curious with this, he ask an angel," why they put so many boxes around the heaven door". The Angel say, "Those boxes fill with anything that human prayed for, but when we want to deliver it, the human who pray for it no longer desire it anymore, so we just pilling up on the heaven door."

Sometimes, it is not because God or The Universe don't answer your pray, but it is because we no longer have focus on it and change our want too often. If you are a Reiki practitioner, i want to share some insight on how to use Reiki to materialize your desire.

Based on the law of abundance,anything in the world created abundantly, more than enough for everyone. Just because we don't realize it yet, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

For me, abundance is everywhere,anything that you do will result more than you expected, either it is for good or bad deeds, therefore we need to choose whether we want good abundance or bad abundance. You need to know what your desire really is, first. Contemplate how your desire meant to you, why do you want what you desire. This will give you strength quite enough to stay focus.

After you have enough mental strength to stay focus, be relaxed and visualized in detail the object of your desire, let your imagination lead your feeling toward your object, enjoy your oneness with your visualization with feeling good.

Then, if you are not Reiki practitioner,take a deep breath, and while you realized your breath, imagine your visualization spread to universe and say "If God/Universe agreed with it, then it is done".

For Reiki Practioner, after you made your visualization, give Sei He Ki then Cho Ku Rei after that send Reiki, and let Reiki work for you, don't use any will anymore just relax and say in your mind " Let it be done, if God/universe agree with it".

When waiting for your desire to manifest, what you need is just relax, just like when you order food in a restaurant, just relax enjoy yourself while your food is being made.

The answer will come in some ways, if God/universe see you ready for what you asked, you will get it right away

If God/Universe see that you are not ready, you will get hint how to make you ready

If God/Universe see that what you asked are harmful for you, you will get understanding about what you asked.

We are not alone, we are protected and loved by God/ Universe.

For us, Reiki practitioners, we have direct link to Universe consciousness, so experience it and just like what Jesus said " Be salt of the world".

Worry is friend

Reiki practices as Sensei Usui legacy, teach us about not to worry about anything. It is written in his epitaph as his main teaching. Nowadays, we acknowledge this teaching in his 5 admonitions. Following this teaching is not an easy task, in fact it is a lifetime struggle just to have a little time rest from worrisomeness. I bet you understand what i meant. Worry occur anytime, anyplace and anywhere. Every time we get rid of it, it comes back ten times stronger than before.

Is it possible to overcome worry, once and forever?
Is there any tricks or techniques that can save us from the torture?
Why my Reiki practices can not save me from worrying my future?

Our life full of things that can make us to worry about, maybe about the traffic jam, the boss, our food, our future relationship with spouse, our children prosperity and health, you name it, it can be thousand little things that need to be worried about.

If we succumb to such feeling that would not be advantageous for us, it drains our power and left us with nothing but fear of life. Therefore, many spiritual teachers and motivators teach about overcoming worry and fear as it first main concern before we can achieve anything great in our life.

However, teaching is teaching, it direct us to where we should go, but not take us there. It is "us" who should move our legs, mind and effort to go there. Our teachers can't do it for us, not even our God (Whoever you may called it).

The bitter part of this life struggle against worry and fear within us is, it can't disappear and comes back with ten times stronger than before or manifest to other things to be worried about.

The good news is, your effort would be paid off. Maybe you feel in the beginning overrun, frustrated and feel to just give up to worry, but i assure you that suffering is needed for you to win. Every time you takes courage against worry and fear within you, your will strengthened. When you strong enough, the last battle will come and give you a revelation that you will never forget for the rest of your life, and your war is over with you as the winner.

To save time for you, consider this as affirmation to your understanding...

you will find that:

Worry is unbeatable, invincible, its worthless to fight against it because,

Worry is in fact your other self, your subconscious, your self telling you about that something wrong is happening and need to have an immediate changing. The changing would be way of thinking, way of life, anything.. your worry will telling you

It is a guidance system, place by our creator to ensure us to walk along the law of nature, to guide us to happiness and abundance.

Therefore, it is our friend. Accept it with open hand, love and friendship, listen to what it tell you, appreciate it with honesty and integrity. Approach with no tricks or techniques.

If you understand what i said, then you have already won your battle, because there is no battle in the beginning....

In quantum physics, at the subatomic level, you recognise that everything else in the Universe is energy. Hence, even humans are essentially beings of energy. The Universe is made up of energy, vibrating at various frequencies. This means that we see things as they are because of the energy vibrations. It is through our focused thoughts that they become realities. Without these thoughts, they are only simply "waves" - probabilities of existence.

Hence, what we think has the power to change what we experience. So according to the Law of Abundance, if we simply decide that we are already in great wealth, then we will find that this will be the case. Money is a symbol of wealth. The rich people are wealthy not because they have money but because they are wealth conscious.

If you keep thinking about the bills you have to pay, the designer shoes that you hope to get or the big house you hope to retire in, then you are really in poverty consciousness.(Worry is your friend)

Deepak Chopra's Seven Spiritual Laws Of Success
I have searched books, attended workshops and bought a multitude of programs. What I found is that understanding the law of abundance in greater detail can also be made through the book, The Seven Spiritual Laws of success by Deepak Chopra. Deepak Chopra did not specifically used the term "Law of Abundance" but his 7 laws pretty sums up its components.

After reading the book, I recommend that the title should really be The Seven Spiritual Laws Of Living or the Seven Spiritual Laws of Abundance. One of the main essence of the book is that only when we truly know ourselves, and live a life that matches our purpose here on this earth, can we experience true wealth and abundance. Hence, it is not just for success, but for living at the highest and most integrated level.

What Are The Seven Spiritual Laws Of Success
1. The Law Of Pure Potentiality. This law is based on the fact that you are pure consciousness and have pure potentially. You have the ability to fulfil any dreams that you have and to achieve full potentially.

To apply this law, to access the field of possibilities or to access the creativity that is inherent in your Self, you need to set aside time for silence, meditation and non-judgement on a daily asis.

2. The Law Of Giving. The Universe is in a constant state of dynamic exchange. Giving and receiving are flows of energy that exist. So if we are willing to give what we seek, then we will be able to keep the abundance of circulation in our lives.

If you are wealth conscious, you will not hold on tightly to money because you know that you have enough. You give freely. You know that money is life energy and you are interrupting its flow circulating back into your life. The more you give, the more you will receive. Do note that your intent behind the giving and receiving is also key. It should be based on creating happiness, rather than with a self serving purpose.

3. The Law Of "Karma" or Cause and Effect. What we sow is what we reap. Hence if we choose actions that bring happiness and success to others, we benefit through "karma" - receiving what we have given to others in the first place.

4. The Law Of Least Effort. You do not leak energy with chasing after things that you have no control over. You do not leak energy when there is no need to. You are in abundance. There is no struggle or any conflicts, when you simply embrace the present moment.

5. The Law Of Intention and Desire. You need intent to bring about your manifestations. However, while you have an intent for the future, your attention is on the present moment. Focus your attention on "what is" and your intent for the future will manifest.

6. The Law Of Detachment. The fifth spiritual law has to be read together with the sixth law (Law of Detachment) in particular together. While you have certain intents, you have to let go of your attachment to your desired outcome.

To be attached is not to obey the law of abundance. Attachment is poverty consciousness, because you are attached to the symbols of it (such as money, house, cars). On the other hand, detachment is synonymous with wealth consciousness. When you are detached to the outcome, you no longer hang out tightly but choose to thrive in uncertainty, in full knowledge that the Universe will provide for all that you desire.

7. The Law of "Dharma" or Purpose in Life. The Law of Dharma says that we have taken manifestation in physical form to fulfill a purpose. Hence, you inherently have certain unique talents and can do a particular job better than others.

When you match your actions to the Law of Dharma, you will experience great wealth and abundance. It is usally the case that the purpose in life is tied to helping others. It is not a question of "what's in it for me" but a true willingness to serve your fellow human beings with love and compassion. To take it one step further, Deepak shares that if you want more success, you need to help others find success. If you want more money, you need to help others make money.

Summing Up The Law Of Abundance
All of nature's bounty, which by the way includes that particularly gifted species, Homo sapiens, is a result of the unmanifest that has been transformed into the manifest. The Title comes from World Cup 2010 national anthem "Waving Flag" by K'Naan. From the moment i heard the song, i just can't hide my love to it. Its rhythm bring joy and togetherness. Two big thumbs for K'naan.

I was so inspired with the lyric. You can get motivated just by reading it. It describe hope and happines that lie in the future.

As we grow older, we see a lot of awful things in our life, we had hope and dreams back then, but the world seems not always friendly for us. Not every hope and dreams come to our life. Later on we feel bitter, and sack our hope and dream.

Hope and dream may just be our imagination's product. It may not real at all. Even a certain philosophy teach about how to live in reality, train us to dwell our mind to present time to avoid unhappiness.

But, in the absent of unhappiness, can happiness manifest? When there isn't something that we call darkness can we acknowledged light?

For me, living in a reality is accepting the dark and the light in equal manner. Therefore accepting that unhappiness and happiness as part of life.

We are human beings, we are weaker creature compare to some animals in the wild jungle. But, nowadays we can see that human beings are above any animals on earth.

Is it because we have claw sharper than the tiger, or big body as elephants? no, our strength is coming from the inside, from our suffering and unhappiness.

Whether we like it or not, such suffering and unhappiness bring us sense of purpose. When human being have purpose in their life, the can reach anything they want.

The antidote of fear

In a world of financial turmoil, many have lost their money, source of income and hope. For the first time, for so many of us, face to face with the harsh reality of the world. No matter where we live, the danger is out there.

Nevertheless, the life must go on, whether the condition favor us or not, there are people we love to be fed and care. We need to be as strong as possible for the sake of them. This uncertain conditions may bring fear to our psyche.

"What happened tomorrow? Can I get a job? How can i pay the rent?"

Our mind full with fear and worry.

Though seems powerfull, fear and its sister worry, is not a formiddable opponents, they are weak if you know their weakness.

Now, i shall inform you their weakness, so you can overcome it in no more than 1 minute long.

First:
Worriness caused by the future uncertainty that threat something that you hold dear, therefore, you need to do one of these things, overcome the threat with great effort or giving up what you hold dear. Well, there is no permanen things in this world, so let it go what you hold dear when its leaving is certain.

Second:
Fear is felt when the source of danger near you and you feel that your power and ability are not enough to beat it. When you feel fear, always remind in your mind this phrase " Whatever has a beginning must have an end", even the greatest storm must end. Try to evade the danger as fast as you can, and find protection from families, friends, spouse,etc. Analyze your current situation wisely, and attack the source of danger with hope and faith.

We who live in the modern world, are fascinating with the things that modern world invented. As any invention being invented will lead to another invention, this progress will eventually take us to a new broader opportunities and possibilities that no other human in the past will even dream about. Computers, Sky-crappers, Nuclear power, and many modern appliances are shaping our daily lives; we no longer understand how to live without it. Our lives are getting easier by the use such technology, and life is no longer as painful as before.

Inventions are not magic; it is not done by a night. Inventions are actually the practical use of the natural laws, which should be discovered and understood first. Therefore, when Benjamin Franklin discovered electricity, then Thomas Alva Edison can invent light bulb. Inventions are also based on something that already been invented.

So many things already invented, but only some people wonder, how can a human being invent the inventions? Why some people can invent things, but others are not able to invent anything? Is it because the inventors were gifted, is it because they posses knowledge superior than others?

There is no exact answer to that may be the inventors were gifted, may be they posses' superior knowledge, or maybe they put a great effort to it. But, when we turn our attention for a while to ancient Egypt, we may have a glimpse of light about the natural law of creation.

The law of attraction says that anything we think and feel may attract conditions that coherent with it. Therefore, if we have so many negativities store in our subconscious such as judgment, jealousy, and anger, we will attract realities which give us more chance to do what we usually do-judgment, jealousy and anger.

It seems bizarre to me when i read the theory several years ago, but through continues trial and error, i finally begin to realize that "The Law of Attraction" indeed is the secret of miracles. (Check this too, "Applying law of abundance")

As Gendai Reiki practitioner, i also notice that the lesson about " Law of Attraction" also become an important integral part of Reiki practices. It is also said in Sensei Usui's five admonitions, that positive mind and feeling may attract miracles healing.

However, as Reiki practitioner we have more chance to success. It is because when we practice Reiki, we become attune to the source of existence within us. With such connection, our negativities are neutralize and give us a chance to direct our mind, feeling and effort to realities that we desire.

One important thing that people may forget when using "The Law of Attraction" is faith. After you decide what you want, and focusing your mind and feeling toward it, then you need to have some faith about what you are doing, what you feel and your commitment about having what you ask. Otherwise, you won't able to use "The Law of Attraction" effectively, and not getting what your heart's desire.

When you feel, you are certain to what you want and willing to do anything to get what you want, then it is the best time to operate the "Law of Attraction".

Last weekend, Indonesian celebrated Idul Fitri 1430 H, yes-i mean all Indonesian were celebrating Idul-Fitri regardless whether he/she is a Moslem. Though this is a Moslem's holiday, but it already tranform into Indonesian culture. Its not a religion's day anymore but more likely a festive day for all Indonesian, its a day when every Indonesian try its best to forgive other misdeeds and creating a commitment to build a good relationship in the future.

so, as Indonesian, i did enjoy last weekend holiday, rather than traveling around, i chose to stay home and did some work out early in the morning. Kinda lazy that day, "who want to work out in the holiday, only fool can do it "( that's what i felt), but i had to do it otherwise I'll break my personal commitment to have a healthy lifestyle. So, i did some stretching, jogging around a little bit, doing some breathing exercise and then exercise Gendai Reiki techniques.

During practiced, my mind hardly stand still and concentrated, dreaming about what to do after practiced, to the future's problems then back to the past memories, back and forth fore several times. Then as normal meditation process, my mind get balanced by itself, peace and tranquility manifest.

Breathing getting slower and rhytmic, and my mind starting to move again in a slower pace than before. In this process, i remember my past curiosity about Tan Tien.

Tan Tien is a point located 3 fingers width below our navel. Many literatures said that in Tan Tien, our energy is being kept save for later use. However, when doing anatomy analysis, you may not find any specific organ corresponding with Tan Tien. There is no organ responsible for energy's storage room. Unlike cakras, which people now understand that it has something to do with endocrine glands and system, Tan Tien seems not having any organs counter part.

Then suddenly, my mind intuitively directed to remember a book written by Mr. Masaru Emoto, a Japanese scientist who research about how our mind's wave make water's crystal changes its shape. When our mind full with love intention, the water's crystal create beautifully and symmetric crystals.

Perhaps my subconscious mind is trying to give me an answer cause i suddenly relate my question with Mr. Emoto's research, I felt maybe what we called Tan Tien is the lower part of intestine which full of bloods and liquids. When exposed to Reiki energy, blood and liquid within the lower part of the intestine began to change its shape and behaviour to store and distribute energy to the whole cells.

With this new understanding, i began concentrating intention to my Tan Tien, Reiki began to gather inside. A moment later, i can felt Reiki energy was carried over by bloods and liquid within my Tan Tien to my whole cells, my tension lessened, and i feel rejuvenated.

Well, feeling rejuvenated always accompany with sleepiness, i felt so sleepy and need my pillows, i decided to finish my exercise, go back to my room and say goodbye to my holiday's work out and sleep for couple hours...

After 10 years, learning Gendai Reiki ho and Usui Reiki Ryoho, i can conclude that learning Reiki is not just learning about healing and meditation. Healing and meditation techniques that you learned in Reiki are only the tips of an iceberg. There are a lot more that Reiki can offer to your happiness and fullfiling life.

For years, since we were born to this world, we've been introduced to many beliefs. We learned that without such beliefs, we are vulnerable to mistakes. Instead of learning how to cope with such mistakes and learn valuable lessons, we were taught to stay away from doing any mistakes.

Unfortunately, nature didn't create good without bad. Any mistakes that we made or will make, eventually are necessary for us to learn and evolve. No one in history can achieve great achievement without prior mistakes and learning from it.

In physical body, the blood flow in and out the heart within blood vessels, such as arteries, veins or capillaries. On the other hand, the energy flow in the energy body through what we called as meridians channels.

Acupuncturists know about 12 meridian channels which correspond to a certain organ in physical body; therefore when there is disturbance in a meridian channel that link to a specific organ, a potential disease can be detected.

Sending a huge amount of Reiki energy to a specific meridian channel, is like driving a good car fully fueled with gasoline in a known route which guarantee your arrivals on scheduled time. For example, if you detected a hibiki in a recipient’s liver, you may send Reiki energy to liver channel which act like a toll to your liver’s cells.

So, in treating people with severe illnesses which need a quick treatments, perhaps you can consider to send Reiki energy through meridians channel.

Do you think, that your brain is the only part within your body that think? If you think so, you were wrong. Brain does everything to make your body moves, make you able to calculate and imagine thinks, but brain is not the only part that think.

Psychology's students, study the existence of subconsciousness, they consider subconciousness has bigger effect on how we think, feel, and react. The consciousness that we aware of is only the tip of an iceberg. It nothing compares to subconciousness. But what organ that responsible with the subconciousness ?

Have you ever heard people say " Hey, my gut feeling tell to do this" ? Yeah, the other organ than think for you is your organs within your belly. With many important organs link each other with complex nerve system, your belly gives second opinion to your mind process. It explain why people can get confused when deciding something.

Unlike the brain, your belly's complex nerve system think differently, it stores many information received from the brain in form of chemical formulations. It means, when you think something, your belly through complex mechanism produce certain chemical and release it to the blood system. And you feel something that you called " EMOTION".

Flow it like water

What would be like when your house water pipe get stuck somewhere? You may not be able to use the water easily as before and your pipe may start leaking. When not properly fix, the pipe may break down and your belongings inside your house are at risk of being damage by leaking water.

That's exactly what happened when your qi or your body energy stuck. Stagnated qi will create a lot of problems from small uneasiness on the back to a kidney failure. Therefore, the aims of all energy healing technique such as Reiki is make the stagnated qi move and flow easily within its channel, which is called meridian.

Some Reiki masters say that you don't need worry about flowing qi through meridian, because Reiki is energy with consciousness and will flow to the place in the body that lack of energy. However, from my experience Reiki does flow automatically, but it spread everywhere without focusing on certain places. It means, when you want to treat your toes by placing your hands on your head, Reiki will reach your toes in a smaller quantity of energy. Then it took longer to heal your toes.

If you have practice Reiki everyday and reach a certain level of healing ability, you may heal your toes just by putting your hands on your head or you just thinking about your toes and Reiki flow directly to heal your toes. But, a beginner may not have sufficient energy to do such thing. I believe some beginners or shoden level practitioners may lose confident in Reiki after their first attempt to heal.

There is a way to improve the healing process time and result, which is by studying a little bit about how energy flow in meridian channels. Meridian channels have input points and output points, when Reiki energy is directed to certain input points, the energy may flow only in that channels and clean the stagnated energy. Think it as cleaning a water pipe by increasing water flow inside the pipe.

When the energy flows smoothly, the healing process begins. By concentrating Reiki in certain points, the healing process can be quickened.(Storing energy at Tan tien)

Usui Reiki ho and Reiki ho

Most Reiki practitioners that I met, do not know that Usui Reiki ho and Reiki ho are separate different things. As its name suggested, Reiki means 'Universal energy ' and ho means 'method', when we say about Reiki ho we think about a method of utilizing 'universal energy'. Ancient people, wherever they were lived, knew about the existence of this universal energy and learn how to use such energy for their benefit. It was a knowledge used by ancient people to heal, to control nature elements and even controlling others.

Off course, ancient people did not call such energy as 'Reiki' because Reiki is Japanese term for the energy, they had their own term to call the energy such as Prana, Mana, Qi, etc. Though different in names they refer the same thing, an underlying motive force that move the world around.

If we talk about Usui Reiki ho or Usui Reiki Ryoho, we refer to the method of utilizing universal energy developed by Usui Sensei. While Usui Reiki Ryoho means, an Usui's spiritual method by utilizing universal energy. This method is created and developed by Usui sensei after his awareness of the energy existence when doing 21 days meditation at Kurama Yama. It is a genuine work of Usui Sensei, no one at that time has a method that can be compared to his in simplicity and practical uses.

Long after His passing, many Usui Reiki practitioners who try to understand Reiki ,find no satisfaction in their current practices and developed their own Reiki method. This one of the reason why there are so many Reiki styles available to learn today.

Treatment on Coronary heart disease

Reiki treatment, believe it or not, give almost a sudden impact on those patients who got coronary heart disease. Several months ago, my friend ask me to give Gendai Reiki ho treatment to her father who suffer from coronary heart disease. Her father told me about how his coronary heart disease made him unable to walk more than 50 metres from home, as he felt pain inside his chest and unable to breath easily.

This disease cost him quite a lot, he had a surgery to put a ring in his blocked artery to make blood circulate and prevent sudden heart attack.

Then, after a few minutes conversation, i agreed to treat him with Gendai Reiki ho for a session. I didn't expect anything at first, because this is the first time i treat someone with coronary heart disease. That was an opportunity for me to learn how to treat this disease, but if Reiki treatment didn't give a good result in a session, i can loose confident with Reiki.

I begin with giving treatment on his head, from front position, side, back and throat. Then i put my left hand on his chest and my right hand on his back for about 30 minutes.

I felt a strong hibiki(sensation)on his back, it felt like the blood didn't circulate well and the heart was in a weak condition.

After the session, my friend's father told me that he was so sleepy, and he can breath deeper than usual. But he didn't felt any vibration but only felt my hands were hot. I wasn't quite satisfied with the feedback.

The next day, i visited him again, and he reported that after he woke up in the morning, he felt his breath was deeper than yesterday, and he felt quite relax, then he tried to walk around the block. Surprisingly, he was able to walk around the block for several times without losing his breath.

Well, that was a surprise to me too, i never expected that he made any improvement in a day.

OBJECTIVES: This empirical study explored the efficacy of using Reiki treatment to improve memory and behavior deficiencies in patients with mild cognitive impairment or mild Alzheimer's disease. Reiki is an ancient hands-on healing technique reputedly developed in Tibet 2500 years ago.

DESIGN: This study was a quasi-experimental study comparing pre- and post-test scores of the Annotated Mini-Mental State Examination (AMMSE) and Revised Memory and Behavior Problems Checklist (RMBPC) after four weekly treatments of Reiki to a control group.

SETTINGS/LOCATION: The participants were treated at a facility provided by the Pleasant Point Health Center on the Passamaquoddy Indian Reservation. SUBJECTS: The sample included 24 participants scoring between 20 and 24 on the AMMSE. Demographic characteristics of the sample included an age range from 60 to 80, with 67% female, 46% American Indian, and the remainder white.

INTERVENTIONS: Twelve participants were exposed to 4 weeks of weekly treatments of Reiki from two Reiki Master-level practitioners; 12 participants served as controls and received no treatment.

OUTCOME MEASURES: The two groups were compared on pre- and post-treatment scores on the AMMSE and the Revised Memory and Behavior Problems Checklist (RMBPC). RESULTS: Results indicated statistically significant increases in mental functioning (as demonstrated by improved scores of the AMMSE) and memory and behavior problems (as measured by the RMBPC) after Reiki treatment. This research adds to a very sparse database from empirical studies on Reiki results. CONCLUSION: The results indicate that Reiki treatments show promise for improving certain behavior and memory problems in patients with mild cognitive impairment or mild Alzheimer's disease. Caregivers can administer Reiki at little or no cost, resulting in significant societal value by potentially reducing the needs for medication and hospitalization

For me, A Gendai Reiki ho practitioner, i never doubt that Reiki has an effect to my health. I have been practicing Reiki for 11 years, and during that years i rarely go to see the doctor because of flu. It saved me a lot of money :). Reiki increase my immune system to a new level compare to my condition before practice Reiki.

Autonomic nervous system changes during Reiki treatment: a preliminary study.

To investigate if a complementary therapy, Reiki, has any effect on indices of autonomic nervous system function.

DESIGN: Blind trial.

SETTING/LOCATION: Quiet room in an out-patient clinic.

SUBJECTS: Forty-five (45) subjects assigned at random into three groups. Interventions: Three treatment conditions: no treatment (rest only); Reiki treatment by experienced Reiki practitioner; and placebo treatment by a person with no knowledge of Reiki and who mimicked the Reiki treatment.

OUTCOME MEASURES: Quantitative measures of autonomic nervous system function such as heart rate, cardiac vagal tone, blood pressure, cardiac sensitivity to baroreflex, and breathing activity were recorded continuously for each heartbeat. Values during and after the treatment period were compared with baseline data.

RESULTS: Heart rate and diastolic blood pressure decreased significantly in the Reiki group compared to both placebo and control groups.

CONCLUSIONS: The study indicates that Reiki has some effect on the autonomic nervous system. However, this was a pilot study with relatively few subjects and the changes were relatively small. The results justify further, larger studies to look at the biological effects of Reiki treatment.

Again!!! a new kind of influenza becomes a new threat to human health. Not long ago, the world being shocked by how fast avian influenza (H5N1) spread all over the world in a short time, now we have to deal with a new variant of Influenza while the avian flu is still threatening.

This new type of Influenza which called ‘pig flu’ is said having avian/pig/human genetic codes. How frightening isn’t it, it is a combination of several different types of viruses which seems to be stronger than its predecessors.

The second symbol of Reiki which often called as the harmony symbol is basically aiming to our mind and emotional states. This symbol draws gentle and subtle energy which is necessary to alleviate our feeling of sorrow and suffering.

Let us discuss a little about sorrow and suffering. As human being we have the capacity to differentiate things, we can compare things. Thanks to our memory, we can even compare events in the past with the events in the present time and future time.

This ability makes us superior to other creatures walk on earth. With this ability we can choose and create our own destiny, we strive not to be controlled by nature again. We try to overcome nature with knowledge and technology which are the fruit of differentiation ability.

However, this gift is also a curse in disguised. In comparing things, we know what the best is for us; we know what the ideal things that should be happened to us. By such knowledge, we won’t accept any changes, our mind and emotions stick to such ideal conditions and refuse to adapt with changes. Then we think about how to maintain such conditions, we use any knowledge and technology that available to us to serve such purpose.

Unfortunately, not all our venture are successful, our power and ability has limitations. We can’t go beyond such limitations. There is a gap between what we want to have and to accomplish and our reality. This gap creates tensions and feeling of suffering and sorrow arises.

The second symbol of Reiki is related to the moon. As our body composes of 70% water, we would not be surprise that our body’s fluid is greatly affected by the moon, just as the ocean wave affected by. The moon gravitation changes raised our emotions up and down accordingly. These phenomenon repeat, following the rhythm of nature and create the world of balance and harmony.

Therefore, this second symbol teaches us about the harmony of things in nature. Things are comes and goes. There is nothing to worry about. Everything has its time to come, and everything has its time to go. The energy which symbolizes by this symbol relaxes our mind, release tensions, and release anxieties. Renunciation, Transformation and Self Liberation

So that is the way. That means in Tantrism when we feel angry we do not stop it, we do not block it, but continue in pure vision, not impure vision. Not that we manifest Vajrapani to fight with him or her. That is impure vision. So this is more or less characteristic of the path of Tantrism; transformation. I have told you already,

Tantra means without interruption, continuation. Continuation, clarity, and emptiness, that is our nature. We discover that. We know that, and then by being in that state we can get in the real knowledge through clarity or emptiness.

So these are the two paths related with body, the aspect of body, and aspect more of the energy level of speech. Then we have the path mainly related with our mind. That is the kind of teaching like Dzogchen.

What is Dzogchen? Dzogchen is not Tantra or Sutra. Dzogchen is a method which goes directly to the level of mind; through mind to nature of mind. So the characteristic of the path also is not transformation, not renunciation, but is called self-liberation.

What does that mean, self-liberation? Self-liberation means, for example, in Sutra, if we have some problem, to overcome that problem we need some kind of antidote. For example, when we are angry, then we try to do a visualization, or apply something, like compassion. This is the antidote. If there is a fire, the antidote is water. We need water. If we put water on fire, then there are less problems. That is an example. This is characteristic of Sutra.

In Tantra, we transform. For example, when we are angry, we do not look for an antidote, but we transform. What is the difference? When we say transform, transforming means transforming emotions or passions, something in general we consider negative, but its nature is the same nature as wisdom.

There are not two different natures, they only manifest in different ways, two aspects, the pure and impure aspect. The pure aspect manifestation manifests like wisdom. Impure, in this case, become emotions, passions. But the nature is the same.

For that reason, in Tantrism they use the example of gold. Gold has value; gold is considered a very precious object. So we can take an ornament of gold, like a statue of gold, and make a statue of Buddha, a golden Buddha, and then everyone thinks there is a very nice golden statue of Buddha.

Particularly people who follow Buddhism, they have devotion and think this is a very nice golden Buddha, and bring flowers, incense, offer something, and pray, etc. We do this. But then, this statue of Buddha can be transformed one day because someone doesn't like having a statue of Buddha but they like gold. They can transform it and make another ornament or something; they can make an ashtray, a golden ashtray. Very elegant.

The nature of gold does not change, it is always the same gold, but now the aspect has changed. In this case, no one is going to pray, or offer flowers or incense, but now they throw cigarettes or something dirty inside. That is an example. This is a very important example in Tantrism to make an understanding of what transformation means. The nature has not changed. There is not this explanation in Sutra. We say, for example, Buddha seed, Buddha nature. Everybody has it. But it doesn't mean that it is related with our energy level. This is a Tantric aspect.

So in the Sutra teaching, if we have emotions we consider that negative. We throw them away. and they have no value. We do not think they have the same nature as wisdom. So you see, the point of view is different. When we apply Tantrism, transformation becomes very important, to transform into pure vision; like the mandala, deities, five wisdoms, etc. In this case it is very important that the practitioner has an idea of pure and impure vision, since they are transforming.

In Dzogchen, when we say self-liberation, we don't need that. In Dzogchen, we know very well we are in samsara. Samsara is impure condition. But we don't need to consider, "Oh, this is impure vision, now we need to transform into pure vision." This is a Tantric point of view. In Dzogchen, pure or impure vision, there is no difference. It is the same.

Sutra and Tantra

For example, there are Sutra and Tantra teachings; these are very famous in Buddhism. What do Sutra and Tantra mean? Sutra and Tantra are Sanskrit.

Sutra means conclusion; the conclusion of an event. For example, when Buddha was in India he gave a teaching every day. There were many students, sometimes important Indian kings, Dharma kings, and they invited Buddha and his students somewhere and the students asked Buddha to give specific teachings or some explanation of something in a specific way.

Then, of course, Buddha explained, gave that teaching, and at the end he finished the teaching. When he finished the teaching, the king and all the people present were very happy and thanked the Buddha for receiving this teaching.

That's normal, no? Then later, someone like Ananda or another student of Buddha wrote down, "One day Buddha went someplace, like [Rajgur?], for example, and then the King of [Rajgur] asked for this kind of teaching and Buddha taught and explained this way". Buddha taught and explained and when he finished the teaching and everybody was satisfied, they thanked Buddha. That is the end of the Sutra. What was written down, the event of that day, that is one Sutra.

Then they were given different titles. For example, "The Sutra of the request of this King", or "The Sutra request of this place", "The Sutra of these people", etc. There are many these kinds of Sutra teaching. Sutra teaching is related more to the physical level.

When we say the three gates, it is more on the physical level. Why? Because first of all Buddha, the real Buddha state of the condition of Buddha is not the physical body. It is Dharmakaya. Dharma means all phenomena; kaya means its dimension. The real dimension of all phenomena is emptiness. Dharmakaya is not something we can see or touch.

Buddha is in the Dharmakaya and communicates the teaching to beings. How can it be communicated? For communication we need a Buddha, not Dharmakaya, but we need a Buddha, which we can see so we can talk with him. In this case, Buddha manifests a physical body, like a human being. So we can talk to each other; Buddha can talk and we can listen, we can hear, and this is on a physical level.

Also the teaching is on a physical level and Buddha taught many of these kinds of teachings on a more physical level. For example, with the explanation of karma - cause and effect - you understand this already and I don't want to explain. I am sure you all know the Four Noble Truths. This the first thing Buddha taught.

What is the main point of the Four Noble Truths? To explain cause and effect. Buddha is not explaining the cause first, but the effect. Why? Because people understand effect more easily. If someone gives me a punch, I feel pain. That is the effect. I wouldn't say, "Oh, I don't feel anything". I feel. So Buddha is saying that we have suffering.

The noble truth of suffering; all sentient beings have suffering. There is no one who has no suffering and also no one likes to suffer. Everybody agrees with Buddha. No one would discuss or argue with Buddha. Otherwise, if Buddha explained the cause first, maybe many people wouldn't agree. They have a different way of seeing and they argue instead of learn.

So Buddha explained suffering and everybody said, "Yes, it is true, we have suffering", and then Buddha asked, "Do you like to have suffering?" Everybody said, "No, we don't like it." So Buddha offered an idea: If you don't want to suffer, then the solution is not that you fight with suffering.

In general we act in that way. We live that way. When there are problems we struggle. We make a revolution. Buddha gives a teaching, which is not a solution because suffering is an effect. With the function of the effect you can learn or discover what the cause is. That is all. No struggle. So why do you have suffering? Because there is cause. If you don't want to have suffering, then you discover what the cause is. It is very easy.

In the same way when we go to a doctor, you arrive there and the doctor says, "What did you eat yesterday? What did you do, what was your attitude?" etc. Why does he ask this? Because he wants to discover which is the effect and the cause. Then the Buddha taught the second noble truth of karma, the cause, then cause and effect, and then the third noble truth of how we stop this. In this case, the teaching is more related to the physical level because there are many people who have no capacity.

Buddha explained: to not have suffering you should do meditation. Many people don't understand what doing meditation means. It is a very simple way to not create negative karma. With your body you don't do these things, for example. With your voice, you don't insult, you don't lie, etc., with your mind, you don't think bad things for others, etc., and so as to not commit negativities he gave vows.

There are also different levels of vows. These teachings are characteristically more related to the physical level. When we take these kinds of vows, we take these vows until we die. We don't take this kind of vow until we have total realization. For example, we say we don't kill animals. For killing animals what we could do? We do something, we act with our physical body. We are not only doing something like magic power for killing. Most people in general are acting.

If we have no physical body after death, how we can kill animals? Not so easy. That's an example of how everything, like vows, and all these things, are related more to the physical level. Characteristic of this teaching, of how Buddha taught Sutra, is the path of renunciation.

Renunciation means renouncing all causes of negative karma. When we know, if I do this, if I apply this, it becomes a cause for creating some cause for negativity. We renounce that. The path of renunciation means more on a physical level. That kind of teaching is related more with our physical level. But it doesn't mean that we don't need our level of energy or voice or mind. Of course, we need all. They go together always. But mainly it is related with the physical level. This is one characteristic of this path of teaching.

Another path and characteristic of teaching is Tantrism. In this case, what does Tantra mean? Tantra is Sanskrit and means continuation, without interruption. Something is continuing, mainly our energy.

How does it continue? Because through energy we have manifestation. But from where did this manifestation originate? This, of course, is our real condition, emptiness. So in Tantrism, these two are called emptiness and clarity. From emptiness manifests clarity.

How we can understand that? It is very easy. For example, if we observe ourselves, our thoughts, our minds, how does our mind manifest? The mind manifests with thoughts. When we are observing thoughts they disappear.

We look, where is thought, how is thought? From where did this thought originate? Where did this thought disappear? We can do research, but we can't find anything. What we find always is emptiness. Why do we always find emptiness? Because the source of all this manifestation is emptiness. We are getting there. Even if we can't find anything, it doesn't mean that now all thoughts disappear. Immediately another thought arrives.

We are thinking, "Oh, I can't find anything."; that is thought. You observe it, and that disappears, and you can't find anything. But the thought immediately arises. This is our real nature. Our real condition.

In Sutra teaching, there is not much emptiness and clarity. Only emptiness. Why? Because Sutra is more related to the physical level, so its nature is emptiness. It has nothing very much to do with energy or dealing with energy.

In Tantrism, the main point of the path is the energy level. So that is how the teaching developed, how Buddha taught, how he communicated. Originally through manifestations; not like Sutra teaching. In the Sutra teaching, one day Buddha is going somewhere and teaching and people are listening. Tantrism is not like that.

Who followed Tantrism from the beginning? People who already had such kind of realization. For example, we say in India, in ancient history, there were many kinds of Mahasiddhas. Mahasiddhas mean people who are realized.

So Mahasiddhas receive this kind of teaching through their vision, but when Mahasiddhas receive a teaching through vision, it doesn't mean that all people at that place can receive that teaching. They couldn't see it because manifestations are not on a physical level. Manifestations are the nature of elements and we can't see the nature of elements.

We do not have that capacity, in general. If we can see, it means we have such realization or have developed our clarity. So the teaching comes transmitted that way. Many principal teachings of Tantrism came through manifestations, not always by Buddha explaining something; not through oral teaching. Just by manifestation, with manifestation, the knowledge and understanding were received through clarity.

So with this characteristic teaching, later when realized beings like Mahasiddhas transmitted to ordinary people, they listened to the teacher, received that empowerment with visualization, and entered in the pure dimension with this idea. That is called entering into a transformation method. It is not an ordinary way.

Being in the transformation state, for example, our being, our existence, is not in the ordinary way, but we manifest how some enlightened being manifested, like Hevajra, Kalachakra, some these kinds of manifestations. Also the individual has then many different kinds of functions like five elements, five emotions, etc., and they all have movement and actions. So all this manifests like deities in personified form. And our dimension, not our ordinary impure dimension, manifests as a pure dimension and that is called a mandala.

So when we are learning Tantrism, through the figures of deities and mandalas is how we enter. For example, how do we enter into a state of transformation? When the teacher gives initiation it means they introduce that, bring that in because we can't directly have contact with enlightened beings like Hevajra or Buddha.

We do so through manifestations. So we go slowly, slowly and enter with this method. That means that the people who follow this kind of teaching have a little more capacity than the ordinary person, because ordinary people do not so easily understand what it means to enter into transformation, or transforming, or working with our energy. Our energy level is more complicated than the physical body.

The physical body we can see, we can touch, we can have contact with concretely. For example, if someone is coming, immediately we can understand and recognize who that person is. How can we recognize? Because we see the physical body, not because we see the energy of that person. If that person has no physical body, only an energy level, and they come here and present themselves in front of us, we couldn't see them. So you see, for seeing or discovering that, we need that capacity. That is why Sutra and Tantra are different.

Tantrism is called the path of transformation. Transformation means that we have mainly five emotions and when we include the five emotions, we include three root emotions. These three emotions then transform into wisdom, three wisdoms. Which way do they transform? For that reason there are manifestations like deities, wrathful manifestations, peaceful manifestations, and joyful manifestations. Three kinds. Why do we need three kinds? Because we have three different emotions: attachment, anger and ignorance. Ignorance doesn't mean that we have no education, but ignorance means we are ignorant of our real nature, we do not know it. That means we are missing clarity. So there are three kinds of manifestations to transform these three emotions.

It is not sufficient that we only know that that method exists and we can transform. For having the capacity to transform, firstly we receive initiation, introduction on the path, we apply and become really familiar with these methods, and then maybe we can transform. For example, when we are angry with someone, if we increase that anger in an ordinary way; that is the cause of samsara, the cause of suffering.

It can create so many problems. But we can transform it, transform it by manifesting the wrathful form of Vajrapani, for example. If we are familiar with that when we feel really angry, instead of impure vision, thinking I am here, he is there, he makes me angry, now I am angry, we can transform. Immediately we transform into pure vision, pure dimension and then we manifest wrathful Vajrapani. So once we have changed our physical body and energy, we can continue.

We can have more benefit now from transforming anger. When we are very peaceful, we don't have any problems, we pretend to be very angry and manifest as wrathful, but we don't feel really very much. When we are really angry we can feel it.

Teaching through Experience

Later, many years ago in Italy, when I started to teach, I thought the best way to teach was through my experience. I knew that people who were interested were not really interested in learning only in a traditional way, but wanted to have knowledge and realization; some benefit for themselves. I knew how they could have benefit.

If we really know the essence of the teaching, then we can have benefit. We can also integrate in our existence. Of course, sometimes when I give some kinds of lectures, particularly like seminars of Buddhist philosophy at a university, for example, I do it in a more traditional way. Otherwise they believe I don't know Madhyamika; I don't know this or that thing. But when I am teaching people so they can have benefit, then I go very much with my experience.

For that reason I want to inform you a little about this and maybe you can have benefit. When we are following Dharma, any kind of Dharma - Sutra, Tantra - most important is that first of all we know our condition, not Dharma. We are following Dharma; Dharma is for us, we are not for Dharma. That is important. If Dharma is for us, we must understand our condition.

In our condition as a human being we have three existences, which in Tibetan are called "go sum." "Go" means "door", like a gate from which we enter and from where we go outside. "Sum" means three. Everybody has three gates or three doors. What are these three gates? Our body, speech and mind. Body means the physical body and is easy to understand. Speech or voice means more on the energy level; the physical body has energy. Then there is mind and mind is the main thing in individual existence. These three are what we call the three gates.

Why do we call them the three gates? If we want to go to visit something inside a place, for example, a museum or somewhere, we must go through a door or a gate. Sometimes we also need to buy tickets. Otherwise we couldn't go in. When we arrive inside, if we go regularly, we discover everything, which is inside. If we don't go through the door, we can't get inside. If we don't go inside we can't discover what is there. It is the same thing if we want knowledge and understanding of Dharma, what the essence Dharma is, or the teaching of Buddha, then we should go through our three gates. That means with our body, speech and mind.

If we are already in our existence then we know our three gates and if we want to go outside, for example, we are now in samsara and we want to get outside of samsara, maybe liberating from samsara, in which way can we have liberation? We should go through three gates. Learning the teaching, path, applying, with our energy, physical body, etc., we can then have realization. The three gates are indispensable. The three gates are not only learning and getting in the knowledge, but everything. The teaching, methods, all existence, if we observe well, everything is related with the three gates. There is nothing not related. In this case the three gates become a kind of key for the teaching and for the path.

Why do we call it speech instead of energy? Because when we say speech, speech is related with our breathing and with breathing we produce speech. Breathing is related with our energy, our vital energy. Prana. Breathing is our life. If we are alive it means we are inhaling and exhaling. If we interrupt inhaling or exhaling, there is no more life. Life is breathing. This is one reason. Another reason is that when we speak of our real condition, in the Sutra teaching, we say our real condition or nature is emptiness, shunyata.

Emptiness has infinite potentiality; energy manifestation. If there is no manifestation or energy, then shunyata, emptiness, has no sense. That is our real condition. How does everything manifest from emptiness? Through our energy. Something like the sky. When we say sky we know the sky is empty. There is nothing concrete in the sky. But in this emptiness everything manifests. In a very simple way, for example, sometimes we have very nice blue sky, a nice day, and then we observe clouds manifesting suddenly. They are not coming from anywhere, but they manifest and become bigger. That is an example.

From emptiness, there is manifestation. So the way of manifestation, particularly in a teaching like Dzogchen, is explained through the development of sound. Sound is the source of all manifestation. From emptiness manifests sound, from sound manifests lights, and then lights develop rays, the different colors of the five elements, and then all manifests, like pure and impure vision, which we speak of in Tantric teaching. When we speak of sound we must not think only of ordinary sound. We immediately have that idea. Sound.

But sound has different kinds of sounds. The teaching explains outer, inner, and secret sound. Outer sound is what we hear in the ear; good or bad, nice or ugly, for example, everything, which we hear. Inner sound we don't hear in the ear. We discover and feel it through vibrations. Secret sound can't be discovered through vibration. If we have such knowledge and understanding then we discover that; that potentiality, the root potentiality. For that reason, speech is sound. Voice is sound.

We are producing that sound through our breathing. That is one reason it has a much larger sense than if we only say energy. For example, in Tantric teaching, sometimes we say Vajrayana, the vehicle of Vajra, and sometimes we say Tantrayana, the vehicle of Tantra, but many times we say Mantrayana, which is a very general name.

Mantra means sound. Sound is related to the base of energy; this is the reason why we call it speech. These three - body, speech, and mind - are the three gates. When we say body it doesn't mean only our physical body, but everything related with the physical body, everything on the material level. Subject, object, everything is part of our body. If we think of a person, the condition of a person, number one is mind, then energy, and then the physical body. The physical body is related to the physical dimension in which we live; the subject, object, and everything. The teachings also go in that way.

The Essence of Dharma

I am sure many of you already follow Dharma teachings, so this evening I would like to go more into the essence of Dharma. Why? Because already everyone's life is very busy. First of all, we don't have much time to learn very Dharma in a very detailed way. Secondly, even if we learn something, it is not so easy to apply. If we do not apply or practice it has no benefit. Dharma is something like medicine. We need medicine because we have problems; physical problems. So when we have medicine, what do we do?

We must take the medicine and we follow the advice of a doctor. Otherwise even if we have good medicine, there is no benefit. The same thing with Dharma; we can learn. Dharma is also something useful for living this life. Of course, if we believe there is some continuation of our life then Dharma is still more useful. Even then, Dharma becomes something useful only if we know how to apply it, how to integrate into our condition, particularly in daily life. For that purpose we need to understand the essence.

What is the real essence of Dharma? It is not only understanding the different kinds of traditions; different traditions are secondary. Within the essence of all traditions - all traditions which follow Dharma teaching, the teaching of Buddha - there is no difference. We have many kinds of traditions within the teaching of Buddha. We have these different traditions because there are many different kinds of people with different kinds of capacities and different kinds of judgments. Even if one teacher is giving a teaching, then later, for example, ten students have ten different ideas and ten different ways of understanding. Maybe not all ten students create ten different schools, but some are created. Someone who is more active creates a school, a tradition, and many different kinds of traditions arise. But the essence must be same.

This doesn't mean that we should go after multiplying traditions; actually we can do the reverse. We can try to understand the essence of what Buddha taught, why Buddha taught, and which kind of benefit we have if we follow the teaching. I think these things are really very, very important. I want to give you a little idea about this from my experience. Because I have studied the Dharma for many years - Sutra, Tantra, and Dzogchen - I have my experience. When we study or follow a teaching, why are we following the teaching? We study in order to have knowledge, to discover the real sense, how we can integrate, and how we can have a kind of realization. That is the purpose. So when we learn or follow a teaching for all of our lives, in the end we arrive, more or less. Sometimes we arrive very late. We are always judging, thinking, creating, so many things. Sometimes we can arrive a little earlier, if we are fortunate, meeting teachers who really give the essence of the teaching. Or we know how we should go on the path and learn; sometimes we have that possibility.

I will give you an example of myself. When I was small child I entered the monastery and received an education, a monastic education, learning many things like how we do prayers in the monastery. Later, when I was nine years old, I entered college. Finally we studied some real Dharma. Even if we study Sutra, we are trying to understand what the path is, what it is for, etc. After five years I studied in college, mainly Sutra teaching, and then I felt, "Now I know everything". Really, I felt that way.

I finished my college, and went to another college, two different colleges, for comparing studies, etc. and it seemed that I learned very well. I never thought, "I don't know Dharma". Or, that I was not being in the sense of Dharma. Later, when I was seventeen or eighteen years old, I met one of my teachers, a Dzogchen teacher, and received Dzogchen teachings from him. I had received teachings many times before, I had met many Dzogchen teachers, but had received that teaching in a more traditional way.

They gave initiations, empowerments, some instructions through some books, etc., and we learned and thought, "Now I know that, I am an expert of that". Finally I discovered I was not really being in the knowledge of the teaching but I believed I knew everything. Also, my teacher, when we talked, before I received the essence of the teaching, he told me many times, "Your mouth is Madhyamika and your nose is Logic". I always thought he said that because he didn't go to college.

He didn't study for many years like me. I thought, "He is good practitioner, but he is not scholar". This was my idea. Then later, when he really transmitted the essence of the Dzogchen teaching, I discovered I had really built my idea of knowledge, something like building a castle of my idea of study, knowledge, understanding, and I was living in that. So of course, when my teacher transmitted, I discovered that and my construction of the castle collapsed. Finally I understood how we should learn the teaching and how we should be in the teaching, so this is my experience.

Healing beyond time and space

Realized or not we are program running automatically, our mind set the program and our body run the program, that’s how it works. Mind is kind of a mystery with many facets, but mind itself is a kind of vibration in truth. Our brain and nerve system is the seat of our mind; it works like a radio transmitter and receiver, capable of sending and receiving vibrations and waves.

We used frequency numbers to symbolized certain types of radio waves, as for Reiki we symbolized types of energies with shapes and sounds. With such symbols our mind can easily tune to its vibrations in no times.

The healing technique using symbols is called the ‘symbolized healing’; at level 2 you will learn how to use three kinds of symbols which each of them have certain characters of energy and use.

Shapes in Reiki-ho’s symbols are marks and letters and considered as “the antenna to tune into the universal energy: Energy comes out from some shapes or the wave resonant with certain shapes (such as pyramids and spirals).

As well as shapes, you will also learn certain sounds which corresponding to each shape. In Reiki-ho, the sounds are called Kotodama. Some Reiki schools, only use shapes as symbols and leave the Kotodama.

Kotodama are sacred voices and considered as the vibration resonating with the universal energy. Vibration created by uttering the Kotodama will draw the energy into the shapes, then the energy will receive a character which makes you easier to use for specific purposes. You’ll soon notice that the sacred voice of Om, the sound of a trumpet shell and the sound of clapping hands are kind of Kotodama though not use in Reiki-ho.

Although shapes and Kotodama are essentially two different things, they are to connect us to the wave in the higher dimension securely and quickly with the synergistic effects of them both. When you are experienced in the use of Reiki, you may perform fully with only one of them. (Shapes can be drawn with the eyes or the tongue instead of the hands, or you can just visualize it.)

There are three symbols used in Okuden (Level 2).

The first one, called as ‘the raising power symbol' and being used in a variety of ways as it holds superior power. It may used alone or with other symbols to amplify its effects.

The second one, called ‘the harmonizing symbols’ which have delicate and harmony feeling characteristics. This symbol is used with the first symbol as it is very gentle and fragile.

The third one is called ’the symbol beyond time and space’. Its maximum effectiveness will doubled when use with two other symbols.

Get the best out of Shoden level

I believe all of you who already take course on Reiki I (western Reiki) or Shoden level (Japanese traditional Reiki) feel empower with this wonderful healing art. However, your healing ability will not improve if you only rely on attunements alone. Even if you take a lot of attunements from many teachers or masters, your healing ability will not much improve unless you use Reiki for healing others.

After taking level 1(Shoden) attunement, I suggest you practice self-healing for 21 days. In a Reiki circles this practice help you cleanse your body energy path. Some Reiki masters say that this practice is trying to follow sensei Usui training and fasting for 21 days on Mt. Kurama.

For the first five years after receiving Reiki for the first time, I use Reiki for the benefit of myself. I am quite diligent for doing self healing everyday, but my healing ability and energy level seems lower than my friend whose doing healing work to other people everyday

It seems our body has certain capacity of storing energy, when it is already full it can’t store more energy until we increase the capacity first. When doing healing works to other people, our body does not store the energy, but works only as a medium. As energy pass from our body to our patients bodies, our energy paths get cleaned and our energy storing capacity gets enlarged.

I believe this as a wonderful character of Reiki-ho. In Reiki-ho, you can only gain maximum healing ability and healing if you heal others. There is no other way, if you only help yourself; you only slow your progress.

Another way to help your healing ability and energy increase is by practicing Reiki circle with your Reiki friends. Two or more people joining hands with the intention of circulate the energy within the group will draw a lot of Reiki energy. Those who join the circle will experience a tremendous increase in their energy level. Below is how you do the Reiki Cicle with your friends:

1. Every person holds the hands of the person beside them to make a circle. Or make a circle by putting the right hand facing down on the left hand facing up of the person beside you. By doing so, you receive Reiki energy from your left hand and send it out to the person beside you from your right hand at the same time. Reiki energy goes around from hand to hand by the speed of light. (Some people feel the energy with the hands apart more than holding hands.)

2. Many people who have not receive attunement feel Reiki energy when they join the circle. Even if they do not feel it, Reiki goes more smoothly being in the circle. Two persons can make the circle facing each other.

3. One other way is to hold the middle finger of the person on your left touching the tip of the finger with your thumb cushion to make the circle, and circulate Reiki energy.

4. To do this by yourself, hold your left hand facing down on your right hand facing up in front of your body and empty your mind and feel the energy. As you become skilled, you become able to meditate deeply by this way. ( I recommend you to find friends for Reiki circle, but if you can’t do this technique for yourself)

Using Reiki for cleansing objects

In Usui Reiki Ryoho, we can clean objects energy or vibration with Reiki. This purification technique is called ‘ Jaki kiri kokyu ho’. The main purpose of cleansing objects with Reiki is giving it a positive vibration after cleanse its negative vibration with hope that it radiate positive vibration back to you when you use that objects daily. Another purpose is protecting your objects from anyone who want to stole or damage your stuffs. So, when you worry about your car being stolen, use this technique to prevent it being stolen in vibratory level

1. Cutting off and cleansing the bad energy technique
This technique is to cut off the bad energy or inharmonious wave, attached to substances and cleanse them with Reiki as well as send in the good energy.
Keep the hand flat and swing it like a Karate Chop, with Reiki radiating from the palm about five centimeters away from the object, and stop when it has passed the object completely. As most of the waves become fine and harmonious after three times, it is effective to perform Reiki healing right after. Cleansing and sending in the good energy are done at the same time. (Put your conscious below the belly button and hold your breath.).

2. Reiki for Crystals and lucky charms
a. For small objects like stones, jewelry, or lucky charms, place it on the palm of the hand and swing the other hand horizontally above it three times and cut off the bad energy.
b. Hold (or put) the hand over it after the swings and send in Reiki.
c. Repeating (1), cut the energy three times with great force.
d. For larger objects, perform as above, setting up the position on the object or imagine it small and having it on the hand.

3. Reiki for the air or the atmosphere in the place
a. Put one hand up towards the direction and cut off the bad energy of the four corners and the four sides counterclockwise. Then send Reiki with both hands.
b. Do the same towards the ceiling and the floor.
c. When it is unnecessary to cut off the bad energy, face the palm of one hand to the four corners and fours sides and the ceiling and the floor, and then send Reiki with one or both hands.

4. Reiki for food and drink
One way is to send Reiki energy into the ingredients before cooking and th other is to send Reiki energy before taking the food and drink. In both ways, either hold the hand over the object or ouch the container and send in the energy.

1. Reiki for animals

Atsuhisa Tsujimi of Izumi-Sano City in Osaka who operates a clinic of acupuncture and moxibustion had a pot of “tree of happiness” killed with too much water. Doing healing works in Gendai Reiki-ho is very easy, just follow the ‘ Basic 12 hands positions’ suggested by sensei Hiroshi Doi is all what you need to do. In most cases, just do the head positions are enough, especially for maintaining health or in a rush.

I suggest for you to do this self-healing everyday, after get up in the morning and before go to sleep at night. For maximum benefits, here are what you need to know about healing yourself:

1. Self healing is performed by putting (or holding up) the hands on the basic positions in order. For the hard-to-reach points such as the ones on the back, put the hands on the positions close by with the thought of “The hands are on the right position”. Reiki energy will go to the positions you are conscious of. Reiki can be contacted in an instant either when the hands are put on or the consciousness for Reiki healing is put towards the position. This is how it’s set up by attunement.

2. The time to send Reiki into the basic positions for those who completed (level 1) is basically five minutes (total of 60 minutes for all 12 positions). This is set from experience that this length of time shows the most effectiveness; however you are encouraged to adjust the time as it depends on each person’s skill. Only those who just completed (level 1) should follow the basic rules.

3. After sending Reiki into the basic positions, put the hands on the positions showing bad conditions. If there is not enough time, put the hands on the positions in bad condition after sending the energy into the Head area. There is no period of time set for it. Usually take the hands off when you recognize the feel of healing or lightening( the feel of some effect).

In Traditional Reiki Ryoho, Reiki practitioner only use 4 hand positions. All of them are treating the head. But in western Reiki, i know more than 18 hand positions. That's quite different. It seems, the traditional Usui Reiki Ryoho depends on their diagnostic skill to locate the disease's source. So they only treat the head for creating mind equilibrium then directly to the disease source.

How about in Gendai Reiki-ho? Sensei doi formulated 12 hand positions, the head positions are the same as Usui Reiki Ryoho. He probably want to adapt western Reiki style treatment with is quite convinient for those who learn Reiki for the first time. Here are the 12 hand positions:

1. For Reiki healing for people, a body is divided into three parts such as “Head, Body Front and Body Back”, and each part has four points which makes a total of 12 points and they are called “the basic 12 hand positions for healing”. Reiki healing is performed on these points in order. ( I will call them the basic positions from now on.)

2. Each positions are numbered with a letter – H for positions in Head part, F for positions in Body Front part and B for positions in Body Back part, and numbers from 1 to 4. Following are the brief explanations of the effects with the hand on each position.

3. In Head part (H), the energy is sent into the brain from front to back and from left to right so Reiki goes into eyes, nose and the thyroid gland and gives a receiver relaxation and peace.

a. H-1 (Front of the face): Remove the pain in eyes, nose, teeth and chin. Improve concentration and balance. Relieve stress. Raise your spirituality.
b. H-2 ( Sides of the face): Balance in the pituitary gland and pineal gland. Adjust hormones in the brain. Remove headache. Balance the left brain and the right brain. Relieve stress. Improve your memory. Widen your consciousness. Improve your intuition.
c. H-3(Back of the head)L The lower part of the brain, the spine, the cerebellum. Improve your language ability, eyesight and colour sensation. Adjust your weight. Relax. Improve your creativity. Release from fear. Improve your penetration and widen your view.
d. H-4(Throat): Revitalize the circulation of blood, lymph, the throat, the thyroid gland, blood pressure, metabolism. Gain confidence, peace, stability, joy and happiness. Improve your creativity and communication.
4. In Body Front part (F), send the energy in from the upper thymus(the centre of immune system) to the bladder and the genitals through each abdominal organ to adjust the balance.
a. F-1 ( The upper thymus): smooth the blood’s circulation, the heart, the lungs and the thymus gland. Gain confidence and adjust the mental balance, release stress, improve your receptivity. Love, supreme bliss, stability and harmony.
b. F-2 (The upper belly): The liver, the stomach, the gallbladder, the spleen, the digestive system. Release from anxiety, fear and stress. Relaxation, peace, balance, tune to the energy in the higher dimension.
c. F-3 (Below the belly button): The liver, the pancreas, the gallbladder, the spleen, the colon. Reduce stress, release anxiety, and dissatisfaction, gain confidence. Receptivity, confidence and strength.
d. F-4 (The lower belly):The colon, the small intestine, the bladder, the ovary, the womb, the generative organs, the prostate gland, excretion. Heal the bad condition due to the disorders of sexual organs. Release anxiety, fear and tension. Improve the flexibility and widen your consciousness.

5. In Body Back part (B), the energy flows from the shoulders along the spine to the bottom of the womb through the kidney and the adrenal gland.
a. B-1 (Sides of the scapula): Same as F-1. (Including the following.) Heal the bad condition due to disorder in the neck, the mitral valve, the thoracic vertebrae, the lumbar vertebra, the spinal column and the nervous system. Relax
b. B-2 (The upper back): Same as F-2.(Including the followings.) Heal the bad condition due to disorder in the thoracic vertebrae, the spinal colm and the nervous system. Release the tension.
c. B-3 (The lumbar vertebra): Same as F-3. (Including the followings.)Heal the bad condition due to disorder in the kidney, the adrenal gland, the lumbar vertebra, the spinal column and the nervous system. Fulfill life internally.
d. B-4 (The bottom of the spine): Same as F-4. (Including the followings.) Heal the bad condition due to disorder in the bones of the lower body such as the bottom of the spine, the coccyx and the pubis and the nervous system.
6. By all of these, mind and body totally get well balanced in the brain(the nervous system), the excretory gland, the respiratory system, the digestive system, the circulatory system, the digestive system, the circulation system, the urinary system, the sensory system, the generate system, and the muscles and the bones.

How to give a healing session

One thing to be remember, Reiki healing do not and never use concentration. What we need to do it as relax as possible with waiting attitude. Don't expect the good result or bad result, jut leave it to the providence.

Before i do Reiki healing, i always say in my mind " If God pleases, the patient will be healed". This will relax my mind and emotions.

Just in case you need a guideline, here are some guideline from sensei Hiroshi Doi, Gendai Reiki-ho founder:

1. The place should be clean, bright , quiet and well ventilated that you are able to relax. If this is not available, purify the energy of the place with Reiki before healing. Even when an ideal place is not available, do not feel nervous. Have a blanket or a bath towel ready as you may feel cool when you are relaxed. Have some healing music ready if necessary.

2. Try to wash your hands beforehand. It is necessary as you touch the receiver and it is also effective to wash off the low vibration energy on your hands. After washing, rub your hands to warm them up.

3. Remove a watch from both a sender and a receiver. It is because the energy may change the time on the watch. A sender should remove anything disruptive when touching a receiver. Glasses may be put on. A receiver should remove anything tight on your body such as a belt, a tie, a bra and unnecessary jewelry. A ring or earrings may be put on as they get charged with good energy.

4. A receiver should be in a comfortable position either laying or sitting down. In either way, you need to be relaxed. Do not fold your arms or legs and try to release the tension.

5. Hold the hand over a receiver when you are not able to touch him/her. For the areas that cannot be touched due to a burn or a skin disease, hold the hand three to five centimeters about it. Putting hands on the clothes or a blanket is the same as holding hands over the area and both are effective. If it is uncomfortable to touch certain area, a sender may put the hands over the receiver’s hands on the area, You may out a cloth or a tissue over the face of a receiver and put the hands on if necessary.

6. Explain the post healing changes. Sometimes the condition or the symptoms of a receiver get worse after healing. Some receivers have fever, have more excretion, get eczema or feel pain. You should not worry about this as it is the process of restoration to health called improving reaction. ( It is recommend you explain it beforehand.)

7. Reiki healing is performed in the following order.
a. Perform Reiki shower technique to revitalize your energy.
b. Relax the receiver and let him/her be in a comfortable posture.
c. Perform aura cleansing.
d. Put the hands on the basic twelve points for healing, for five minutes on each point. (When the feel of your hands have improved in the future you will be able to feel the places with bad condition and perform healing following the original Reiki Ryoho of Master Usui.)
e. Put the hands on the places necessary.
f. Perform aura cleansing after healing.

Our daily life in a modern world is being exposed to many unhealthy vibration such as electromagnetic vibration from electronic devices, pollutants, and even our negative emotions. Before practicing or receiving Reiki, it is best for us to do aura cleansing technique. This technique, will comb your body aura and make it ready to receive Reiki vibration.

What happened if you don't do this?
Well, If you don't do this, it will only make Reiki a hard time penetrating your aura to your body. Thus, delaying healing process.

1. Aura cleansing must be performed before an after Reiki healing
2. Pre-healing aura cleansing drains the excess energy and adjusts the aura to balance the energy. As the feel of your hands improve, you will become able to feel the places with a bad energy condition.
a. A receiver may either lie down or sit on the floor or on a chair to be comfortable.
b. After a sender connects with Reiki by raising both hands, a sender strokes the whole body of a receiver with both or a single hand about 10 centimeters away from the body. It is done from head to toe or from left to right of the body. The aura gets adjusted with the energy flows out from the palm of the hands and the stagnated excess energy will flow off.
3. Post healing aura cleansing is critical. As the energy of whole body is purified after healing, the flow is accelerated and it is in a sensitive condition so that it easily accepts any wave. Therefore it must be adjusted not to get any low or rough wave. Perform jus as pre-healing aura cleansing, trying to lead and adjust the flow of Qi with gentle strokes. Let the receiver rest in peace for a while ( more than five minutes) afterwards. If a receiver is laid down for healing, perform aura cleansing on one side and do the other after the rest.
4. Aura cleansing may be performed on the sender by him/her self. However it is unnecessary when Reiki shower or self cleansing is performed.

Basics on use of hands

Open the palm of the hand naturally and put the fingers together tightly. The thumb can be a little apart. Energy will scatter when the fingers are open. It is effective to open the fingers apart widely only when you intent to send gentle energy. Do not press the hand on a receiver but put is as light as a feather.

I usually shaking both my hands before doing healing works, because my hands though feel have no tensions usually quite stiff. So, shaking the hands help to relax both hands more. In addition, feather like touch is quite tricky, it is often you already feel touching the patient lightly, but the patients still feel not light enough. Just almost touch the patient’s body; you will get the feather like touch.:)

1. Both hands technique

It is commonly known to receive with the left hand and send with the right hand. It is not necessary to choose hands in Reiki –ho. Make full use of both hands. The whole body gets charged with Reiki from the point where the hand is put on. (Though it is also effective just holding the hand over, but pit the hand on if possible. People feel comfort with the feel of body temperature.)

Put your hands side by side when you send Reiki towards a wide area. Put one hands one on the other when you try to send strong Reiki.

Putting one of your hand on top of the other hand during a healing session is very effective to heal an area full of hibiki (sickness sensation). Sometimes I use this hand position to make healing process in certain area quicker. Well, though healing is a process, the quicker-the better, everyone want to be heal quickly.

2. Single hand technique

Single hand is easier to use depending on the place to heal. Either hand can be used and try to perform in a natural posture. For some places, the tip of the fingers can be used. Try to use both hands for paired places such as the lungs, the kidney or ears.

I rarely use only single hand if not necessary, because it is efficient to use both hands. Even for a special case, when a certain body area gives strong hibiki, I usually put my other hand on top of the other, to give strong reiki to the area.

Reiki ho is a unique healing technique as it doesn’t require hard effort training nor concentration. But certain things still need your attention for maximizing result and develop your ability. Below are what you need to know in Reiki healing:

1. Simplicity
Doing Reiki healing is very simple yet it is very profound. What you got to do is just lay your hand on the sick area and let the energy flowing. Though it is simple, Reiki-ho is a profound technique for healing mind and body, you may discover more as you practice, the miracle of Reiki healing.

2. As you heal, you get heal
The important point in doing Reiki healing is you get heal when you heal. As anything else in the world, you can only receive when you give. Doing Reiki healing, you will become a path for Reiki to flow to your patients. Your body energy will be strengthened and smoothed. In no time, your mind and body get healed quicker than you doing Reiki healing for yourself.

3. Reiki healing is not a medical treatment.

5. Developing healing ability by doing healing works.
This is what made it different with the other healing techniques. Doing Reiki healing will strengthened your vital energy within you and increases your healing ability at the same time.

6. From the root of sickness it will heal
Reiki heals you from the root. So, don’t panic if you don’t get immediate result. Reiki energy searches the root of the sickness. You can quicker the healing process by using it everyday in your daily life and do Reiki healing to other as often as possible.
7. Both you and your patients may feel something
Something interesting will occur as you doing Reiki healing. You may feel heat, tingling or a current of energy flowing within your body. The future of Reiki-ho

It is evident, a Reiki practitioner in modern world receive attunement and teaching only in one day or two day seminar. In fact, they can get attunement by subscribing to free attunement services on the internet. One day, they will realize that what they get is not enough, something is missing.

Technically Reiki-ho can be transferred to other person through a simple process called attunement. There are no differences among receiving attunement directly from a master or through distant attunements. But, distant attunement lack of emotional and psychological closeness with the master/teacher, which are necessary for making the student have better understanding about the lesson emotionally.

Furthermore, sensei Hiroshi Doi predicts that a lot of people will realize that attunement only the first step to become a real healer, the true healer develops its ability through continuous practice and self development.

The number regular of gatherings will replace incomplete seminars. As a student need more practice to develop healing ability and raising his/her spirituality, a one day or two day seminars will nor sufficient enough to cover all the teaching materials. In the future, the number of master/teacher will deliver its teaching in a regular meetings form.

Personally I believe, that Reiki will spread even widely, more people will use Reiki. Reiki will become a daily phenomenon. It is a healing method that the people in modern world needed as the cost of medicine in raising trend.

A combination of traditional and western Reiki

When I found out that I could not learn more than from Ms. Mitsui, I started seriously considering visiting the United States. In the meantime, I gathered as much information as possible for “the possibility of existence of Usui-sensei’s pupils in Japan”. In result I found out that Ms. Kimiko Koyama ran Usui Reiki Ryoho Society which was for members, and inherited this tradition since the establishment as the sixth president. I lost no time becoming a member of the society through someone and learned from Ms. Koyama. You may have heard about Alpan who learned from Bagwan-sensei in India and proposes Neo Reiki in Tokyo which is a unity of eastern and the western Reiki. My third teacher is Manaso who learned from Bagwan-sensei together with Alpan and teaches Neo Reiki with mediation in Kansai area of Japan and organizes “tours for Reiki learning through swimming with dolphins”. I learned entire Reiki-ho from the beginning at his school and again realized its prominence. I became certain about my instinct that “Reiki-ho harmoniously contains every thing I learned”.

Around this time, some valuable materials regarding traditional Reiki or Usui-sensei as well as the western style Reiki spontaneously came to me and gave me the answers to the questions I had. When I suffered very minor damage even though I happened to live near the seismic centre of Hanshin Earthquake, I felt if I was given a mission for living.

So I studied again what I learned from my three teachers, aiming at the unity of traditional Reiki and the western style Reiki. To be specific, I re-examined the eastern and western Reiki-ho as “ a technique to heal mind and body” as well as “a technique to raise your spirituality”. I constructed what I call “Gendai (modern)Reiki-ho” avoiding being mysterious, leaving unknown things as they are, and with a motto to pass on the effectiveness with the actual proofs. Also, I tried to make the techniques as simple as possible so that they can be used easily in daily life.

Although I did these for myself, I happened to have a chance to give a Reiki-ho seminar to two experts (Mr. Furukawa, Mr. Tsujimi) and since then more and more healing experts and people through them came to my seminars.

Fortunately this system received support from many people involved in healing, the masters I performed attunements on took a leading part and established “Gendai Reiki Healing Society” to spread the system.

Ever since I have come to know many people who are grouping together to return to the original spirit of Usui-sensei’s remedy being dissatisfied with the western style Reiki, or trying to spread their own theory for the unity of the eastern and the western Reiki. Neo Reiki mentioned earlier is also a new style of Reiki-ho based on the purpose of uniting the western and traditional Reiki., on the other hand there are people who pursue Chujiro Hayashi-sensei’s idea which was the starting point of the western style Reiki. Although Hawayo Takata sensei was the person who brought Reiki Ryoho to the United States, Hayashi-sensei had already tried to modernize Reiki based on his global view as a former naval cadet, and it seemed that he had transformed Usui-sensei’s Reiki into his own style when Takata-sensei learned from him. (The certification Hayahi-sensei issued has name of “Hayashi Reiki Kenkyukai).

There are some people who are trying to connect the power of esoteric Buddhism through Reiki-ho at Mt. Kurama where usui-sensei had the revelation to Tendai Buddhism.

It is not a matter of right or wrong but which way you take for yourself. I believe that many of enthusiastic Reiki senseis will make progress in the unity of the eastern and the western in various ways.

A whole new world

Its been a while i starting this blog, i thought i can have so many friends who share the same interest with me, which is REIKI. Well, there are so many diseases out there and the cost of medicine is raising up. Considering this, how come you don't feel gratitude about learning REIKI.

So, the secret of Reiki is actually Gratitude, but Reiki practitioner today lack of gratitude to sensei Usui work. They create their own technique but never mention or saying that they owe to sensei Usui work. I also notice that modern Reiki practitioners lack of philosophical background, when confronted with any religious accusations, they can't defense themselves.

As a Gendai Reiki practitioner, i share the same concern with sensei Hiroshi Doi, who see that modern Reiki practioners need to know its historical background. This will protect them from philosophical misunderstanding and strengthening our trust to this Reiki technique.

I begin discussing and mentioning some of sensei Hiroshi Doi teaching in his book 'Iyashino Gendai Reiki ho' and hoping you guys have benefit from it.

Later on, i will make research about diseases, and give you some information about how to cure certain disease with Reiki, including the duration.

Meanwhile, the world is in a stage of transformation, the financial crisis is prolonged, i believe it is the will of the divine. If there is no financial crisis, the world will plunge into global warming in unstoppable accelaration.

The world is changing to A WHOLE NEW WORLD based on sharing and tolerance.

We can accelarate it by sharing love and harmony through Reiki.

How sensei Hiroshi Doi learn Reiki

Doi sensei wrote,

I was one of the first people who received attunement from Ms. Mitsui. I have been interested in the spiritual world and the universal energy and went through Basharl, Shirley Mac Laine and Sai Baba, and I found myself absorbed in healing techniques. From my memory, I can list over 30 techniques I learned such as Nishino Breathing technique, Shinmeikan Healing technique, SAS Shin Qui Gon, Genkyoku Qui Gon, Crystal Healing technique, Kihodo Healing technique, Hypnotic Qui Gon technique, Osteopathy, Energy Balancing technique, Astral Healing Technique, SMS Silva Method, Natural Vibration technique, Seiki-ho, Doki-ho, Balance Therapy, Multi dimension Body Work and so on.

At the time I met Ms. Mitsui I was searching for my own healing technique by uniting each techniques I had learned. Although I was a skeptic before the seminar, I realized some changes after taking , such as feeling powerful, becoming healthy, tending to think positively and also the things, an idea flashed across my mind that “everything I learned until now is all united in Reiki”. I wondered if Reiki had a stupendous power within. I wondered if everything is already united harmoniously.

I decided to study Reiki in deeper levels to confirm my instinct. However, Ms. Mitsui was only authorized to perform attunement up to and she could not reply to those who wished to learn the higher levels.

At that time, there was no one who could perform attunement of higher levels of <2> in Japan. It was possible for us to take seminars in the United States, but you were required to be familiar with the language on a certain level, according to Ms. Mitsui. She mentioned the possibility of inviting a teacher over to Japan for a certain number of applicants. (it did not come true)

Meanwhile, a German teacher Frank Petter and his Japanese wife transferred to Sapporo, northern area of Japan, and started Reiki seminar in early 1993. He brought know-how of “from elementary Reiki to teacher training” and Reiki teacher of Western Reiki style was born in Japan at the first time. Since then, number of Reiki teachers increases and it is estimated that the number of who learned Reiki is approximately 30 thousand.

Reiki Back To Japan

While even the name of Reiki was not known well until recently in Japan, it spread quickly along with the New Age Movement, since the early 1980s in the western world. In the late 1980s it came back to Japan as a new healing technique.

A book called “The Reiki Factor” by Dr. Barbara Ray was published in the United States which defined “Reiki is science and a technique of using the light of source of every existence(Life Energy)”. A New York based journalist, Ms. Mieko Mitsui, translated the book into Japanese (title”Reiki Ryoho”) and introduced Reiki to Japan. When Ms. Mitsui gave the seminars as the first Japanese authorized Reiki teacher all over the country, many people participated and it became like a boom. I consider the role Ms. Mitsui performed at this time in Japan very valuable for Reiki recognition. The Reiki seminar with big merits by once attunement became escalated involving people who were half-in-doubt, as the merits were attractive such as “no need of strict disciplines”, “no need of effort”, “no need of concentration”, “Reiki is active throughout life by once attunement”, “Reiki healer is empowered as well as receiver”, “Reiki is active on who do not believe it”, and “Reiki energy flows automatically as much as necessary.”

Reiki go international

There was a woman named Hawayo Takata (1900 – 1980) who had recovered from sickness miraculously by Reiki Ryoho at Hayashi sensei’s clinic.

She was a second generatain American of Japanese descent born in Hawaii and in 1935 she came back to Japan as a widow with her two little daughters after she was diagnosed that her days were numbered with an incurable disease. She went to Hayashi-sensei’s clinic through her doctor to receive the treatment and she gained health after two months and completely recovered after eight months. She was deeply impressed with it and worked at the clinic for a year afterwards as Hayashi-sensei’s pupil before she went back to Hawaii with her daughters.

She received Shinpi-den when Hayashi-sensesi visited Hawaii in 1938 and started her Reiki clinic. She concentrated mostly on treatment until few years before her death at the age of eighty , whe she started attunement. For those few years she trained 22 teachers. These 22 masters(teachers) trained by Takata-sensei spread Reiki all over the world and over 3 million people received attunements in little over a decade, and the number continues to grow.

Takata-sensei passed away in December 1980. One year later, several Reiki Masters taught by Takata-sensei met for a week in Hawaii. In that year (1981), Phyllis Furumoto (Takata’s granddaughter)establish the Reiki Alliance to succeed the role of grandmaster Takata-sensei. However, Barbara Ray who had a different idea about Reiki, established The American International Reiki Association(renamed The Radiance Technique later). Takata’s Reiki was now divided into two major streams. In addition to the two groups, the United States now has some small to mid size groups of Reiki.

Outside of the United States, it spread to Canada, Britain, Australia, Germany, Singapore, India and so on. In India, a group of Osho(Bagwan Shri Rageneesh) adopted it from Ms. Furumoto’s group and spread it as Osho Reiki. There are indications of spreading in Taiwan and Korea through Japan.

In late 1980s, Reiki was imported back in Japan as well and is spreading.

Anyhow, Reiki became as it is now internationally owing to the three masters, -Mikao Usui, Chujiro Hayashi and Hawayo Takata. I believe I have included enough stories of them for your knowledge though there are numerous episodes and legends of each written around the life of Usui sensei’s awakening at Mt. Kurama.

At this time Usui-sensei was renowned all over the country and admired as “the pioneer of restarting Hands-on healing” from other generations. The number of people saved by this Reiki power is said to have been several hundred thousand or over a million. It is on record that there are more than two thousand people who obtained Reiki Ryoho from Usui-sensei

Very few of those were allowed to learn all three steps of Sho-den(the entrance, Reiki 1), Okuden(the deep inside, Reiki 2), Shinpi-den(the mystery, Reiki 3 and master degree). At present only three of those have been found who are Juzaburo Ushida, Rear Admiral, Kan’ichi Taketomi, Rear Admiral, Chujiro Hayashi, Captain. The two admirals took a leading part for spreading Reiki Ryoho inside the marine.

Mr. Chujiro Hayashi(1879 – 1940) received the last secret of Reiki Ryoho and became an expert in 1925 after his retirement, and he worked actively at a Reiki Ryoho clinic he opened in Shinano-machi, Tokyo, following Usui-sensei’s will. He may have been the last person whom Usui-sensei taught Shinpi-den(the mystery, Reiki 3 and master’s degree) considering that Usui-sensei passed away in 1926. The clinic had eight treatment beds and sixteen Reiki Ryoho healers, and each patient was treated by two healers

His pursuit in life and awakening at Mt. Kurama

Usui-sensei studied under adversity and broadened his view by going to the western countries and China several times. As a result he was called a person of free will, and experienced a variety of occupations such as public servant, office worker, industrialist, reporter, politician’s secretary, missionary, supervisor of convicts and so on.

As he faced both sides of life and society through his experiences and continued his study of life, he started to search for “the greatest purpose of life”.

As a result of his devotion to his studies he came to the conclusion that “the ultimate purpose of life is to accept your fate and live in peace”. It means that “ Know your fate and accepted it and maintain the peace of mind and not to worry”. Fate is indicated as destiny you cannot control. In other words, “though it is necessary to try as you are, leave the rest in the hands of Providence and obtain the peace of mind”. This is what is considered as Usui-sensei’s first spiritual awakening.

Spiritual awakening is to know truth and reach eternal joy and there are steps to reach there. The first awakening is an intellectual awakening with your consciousness. In this stage, “it is understood in the head and not true awakening”. A true awakening is an intuitive understanding by Shinga (soul, higher-self) and to complete the unity with truth. Usui sensei went into Zen practice and trained himself for three years searching “the way to reach the state of mind of accepting our fate and living in peace” for true awakening.

After all the training, he could not attain spiritual enlightenment and asked his teacher of zen practice how he could attain a true awakening from now on”.

The teacher responded immediately, “Die one time”. As Usui-sensei was advised to “die” from his only hope for his agony for spiritual awakening, he decided that “this was the end of his life.” and started fasting on Mt. Kurama. It was March 1921. At midnight after three weeks, he felt a great shock in the center of the brain as if being struck by lightning and went unconscious.

It was at dawn when he became conscious after unknown hours, it is said that he was filled with refreshing feeling like he never felt before. When he felt the great shock in the brain, Reiki in the universe pierce his body and mind and resonated with Reiki in his body, and he felt the unity with the universe and completed his search of true awakening.

On the way down the mountain in high delight, he pealed his toenail on a rock and he put his hand on the toe by reaction. The pain was removed in an instant and it was healed immediately. This was the beginning of healing sickness and he eventually developed the technique of giving this ability to numerous numbers of people after his continuous hard study.

On top of that Usui-sensei was naturally selfless and open-minded; he became able to attain a state a state of perfect self-effacement anytime anywhere.

In April 1921, he developed the teachings and the system of instruction and established Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai (society), and he started healing sick people in mind and body by Reiki Ryoho as well as giving away the healing ability through open sessions. He continued guiding and providing the purpose of Usui Reiki Ryoho Society, which is not only to improve the healing ability but also to maintain health of yourself and others, as well as to improve happiness and prosperity of home, society, the nation and the world thereby improving yourself

As the story of the founder, Usui-sensei himself, is passed on as semi-legendary, it is not known much in detail. Especially when Reiki-ho went overseas, many stories were created while spreading from its base of the United States. The trustworthy record is the epitaph of “Usui sensei” in Bodhi temple(Tokyo). This was built in February in 1927, the following year after his death, by some of his over 2000 pupils. The following is its interpretation into modern days by myself.

What you can naturally realize through cultivation and training is called “VIRTUE” and it is called “MERIT” to spread a method of leadership and relief and practice it. It is people of many merits and a good deal of virtue that can be eventually called a great founder. People who started a new learning and founded a fres sect among sages, philosophers, geniuses etc. named from ancient times, were all those as mentioned above. We can say that Usui-sensei is also one of those people.

He started newly a method to improve body and spirit based on REIKI in the universe. Hearing of the rumor, people who would like to learn the treatment and undergo the cure gathered from all quarters all at once. Really, it was very busy indeed.

Usui-sensei, whose popular name is Mikao and whose pen name is Gyohan, came from Taniai-village, Yamagata-district. Gifu prefecture, and had forefathers named Tsunetane Chiba who had played an active part as a military commander between the end of Heian Period and the beginning of Kamakura Period(1180-1230). His father’s real name is Taneuji and his popular name is Uzaemon. His mother came and got married from the family named Kawai.

Usui-sensei was born on 15th August 1865, Having learned under difficulties in his childhood, he studied hard with efforts and he was by far superior in ability to his friends.
After growing up, he went over to Europe and America, and also studied in China. In spite of his real ability,however, he was not always successful in life. Although he was compelled to lead an unfortunate and poor life so often., he strove much more than before to harden his body and mind without flinching from the difficulties.

One day, Usui-sensei climbed Mt. Kurama, where he began to do penance while fasting. Suddenly on the twenty first day from the start, he felt a great Reiki over his head, and at the same time as he was spiritually awakened he acquired the REIKI cure. When he tried it on his own body and members’ of his family also, it brought an immediate result on them.

Having said “It is much better to give this power widely to a lot of people in the world and enjoy it among them than to keep it exclusively by his family members.” Usui-sensei moved his dwelling to Aoyama Harajuku, Tokyo in April 1922 and established an institute, where the REIKI cure was instructed openly to the public and the treatment was given, too. People came there from far and near to ask for his guidance and cure an they overflowed outside, making a long line.

Tokyo had a very big fire caused by a great earthquake in Kanto district in September, 1923, when the injured and sick persons suffered from pains everywhere. Usui-sensei felt a deep anxiety about that, and he was engaged in a cure, going around inside the city every day. We can hardly calculate how many persons were saved from death with his devotion. His activities of relief, in which he extended his hands of love over those suffering people against this emergent situation, can be outlined as noted above

Thereafter, his training center became too small to receive the visitors, so he built a new house in Nakano outside the city in February 1925 and transferred there. As his reputation getting higher, it was so often when he received an offer of engagement from everywhere throughout the nation. In accordance with these requests he traveled to Kure and Hiroshima, then entered Saga and reached Fukuyama. It was at the inn at which he stayed on his way that he caught a disease abruptly, and he passed away at the age of sixty two.

His wife got married, coming from the Suzuki family, and she is named Sadako and has a son and a daughter. The son’s name is Fuji and he succeeds to the Usui family.

Usui sensei’s natural character was gentle and prudent, and he did not keep up appearances. His body was big and sturdy, and his face was always beaming with a smile. But when he faced the difficulties he went ahead with a definite will and yet persevered well, keeping extremely careful. He was a man of versatile talents and also a book lover, knowing well in the wide range from history, biography, medical science, canons of Christianity & Buddhism, psychology up to magic of fairy-land, art of curse, science of divination and physiognomy.

In my opinion, it is evident to everybody that Usui-sensei’s cultivation and training were based on his career of art and science, and that became a clue to create the Reiki cure.

Reviewing the fact, I understand what the REIKI cure is aiming at is not only to heal the disease but also to correct the mind by virtue of a God-sent spiritual ability, keep the body healthy and enjoy a welfare of life. In teaching the persons, therefore, we are supposed to first let them realize the last instructions of the Emperor Meiji, and chant the 5 admonitions morning and evening to keep them in mind

The 5 admonitions in question are:
1. Don’t get angry today
2. Don’t be grievous
3. Express your thanks
4. Be diligent in your business
5. Be kind to others

These are really the important precepts for a cultivation, just the same as those by which the ancient sages admonished themselves. Usui sensei emphasized that “This is surely a secret process to bring a good fortune and also a miraculous medicine to remedy all kinds of diseases.” By which he made his purpose of teaching clear and accurate. Furthermore, he tried to aim at making his way of guidance as easy and simple as possible, so nothing is difficult to understand therein. Every time when you sit quietly and join hands to pray and chant morning and evening you can develop a pure and sound mind, and there is just an essence in making the most of that for your daily life.

This is the reason why the REIKI cure can very easily spread over anybody. The phase of life is very changeable in these days, and people’s thoughts are apt to change, too. Coul we fortunately succeed in spreading the REIKI cure everywhere, we feel sure that it would have to be very helpful in order to prevent people from disordering their moral sense. It never extends people nothing but the benefits of healing long term illness, chronic disease and bad habit.

The number of pupils who learned from Usui sensei amounts to more than 2000 persons. Some leading pupils living in Tokyo among them gather at the training center and take over his work, while other pupils in the country also do everything to popularize the REIKI cure. Although our teacher already passed away, we have to do the very best to hand the REIKI cure down to the public forever and spread it much more. Ah! What a great thing he did; to have unsparingly given people what he had felt and realized by himself!

As a result of our pupil’s meeting and discussion, we decided to erect a stone monument at the graveyard in his family temple so that we may bring his virtuous deed to light and transmit it to posterity; so, I was requested to arrange and epitaph for the monument. As I was much impressed by his great meritorious deed and also struck by our pupils’ warm hearts of making much of the bond between master and pupil, I dared not refuse the request, but described the outline.
Therefore, I do expect heartily that people in future generations would not forget to look up at the monument in open eyed wonder.

Forgotten Usui sensei history

As Hiroshi Doi sensei confused with so many stories about the history of Reiki-ho, suddenly he met with someone who introduced him with a secret society in Japan. This society maintains the original teachings of Usui sensei.

This secret society maintain their tradition hardly, they do not easily give teachings to someone. Only those who are invited by the current members may receive the teachings. They will remain silence to general public forever to maintain the purity of the teachings. However, Reiki-ho is already spreading everywhere around the world, and its purity is getting less and less. The society feels deeply concern and decided not to keep the teachings from general public anymore.

To teach general public about the original Reiki-ho, they invited sensei Hiroshi Doi to join their circle. From the circle Doi sensei able to learn a lot about secret techniques of Reiki Ryoho.

From this society also, Doi sensei managed to visit Usui sensei tomb. Surround with Reiki energy and magical feeling, Doi sensei found the truth about Reiki-ho.
